im gonna start this as a weekly or monthly thing. Basically, its my favorite bands that i think everyone should know about. Anyways, the first band to grace my reccomendation thread is MUCOPUS. They are out of Albany NY and we have played many a show with these guys. They just recorded their first full length with our very own Darren Cesca, the disc is fucking badass but it wont be out untill they find a descent label to release it. They are heading over to Japan for the 1st Tokyo death fest next week and will have Jason from Skinless on vocals for this. John Longstreth is also going to be drumming with these guys as well for a while cause their permanant drummer is now playing with Internal Bleeding for all their tours. And Ernie is a sexy man so what else can you ask for in a metal band, well thats about it. Check em out on myspace or their website which i dont know offhand and share your thoughts on here about em.
for what Ive heard Mucopus are badass
I think they have live mp3's up at ReturnToThePit

yeah... I really didn't know what to make of it at first, mainly cause the music on Human Harvest is just fucking aural nihilism...
I got Kronos - Colossal Titan Strife today in the mail from Amputated Vein after a recommendation from a mate, so i'll give it a blast and let you fuckers know if Phil is right...

definately man... how did you hear of them just out of curiousity?
I only ask as I've been pimping them just about everywhere I go on the internet...

ignore the indifferent looking guy on the right.... practically the entire crowd was headbanging away at this point... (slightly too small a venue for a circle pit :D)

I dare say you were probably one of only a few people there that had heard of them...
I don't know what dates the Maryland Deathfest was last year, but MMD only released their debut in May of that year so maybe they'd not gotten the exposure over there.
Tbh I've not yet seen a British magazine give them any real exposure other than Zero Tolerance last month I think.
two more bands you fuckers might be interested in:
Coercion - to me at least these guys sound like a bit of a death hybrid of Napalm Death & Vader... but then that might just be me. I'm really getting into them at the moment after totally stumbling across them doing CD trading. Definate old-school flavour to these guys.
Stabwound - brutal death with fucking sharp-ass guitars and some damn slamming riffs... fucking gutted they split up recently though
Neither of them appear to have websites that work, but you can hear an mp3 of Stabwound on the Brutal Bands website...

The production on the mp3s on my space arent great, but it'll give you an idea of what they sound like. Lots of blasting involved, they're newer stuff will be even more insane, i cant wait!
