So I kind of like The Berzerker, but I'm not really a huge fan of them or anything. Do you think I would enjoy the DVD anyway? Im interested in seeing the drummer and some of that live footage but thats about it.

not saying you listen to crap music but you get to what its like to make real music and how hard it is/can be and what the results are if you put the effort in to it!!!!!!!

My best friend loves Deicide, Electric Wizard, Darkthrone, Early Opeth but he describes The Berzerker as 'noise.' So I can see where this guy is coming from, even though I think he should have The Bezerker's debut rammed down his throat.

The Berzerker is good musician music , by that i mean people who understand music and what it takes to reach high standards can really appreciate the berzerker possibly more so than someone who is not a musician , im not judging anyone but a the way a musician hears music compared to someone who doesnt understand it i believe here it totally differently ............is this just me or do others understand?.................as goes the people who call it noise , i cannot stand , for me i hear the vocals drums ,guitar and how they compliment each other perfectly ,what is this person on about .

If you only "kind of" like the Berzerker just give it some time...
I used to like Deicide a whole lot, and I don't own anything past "Insineratehymn".
I could call a lot of metal "noise" because sometimes it all clashes sort of wierd.
Metal is like a refined taste, it might have to grow on you, but there are certain flavors that are more satisfying than others. The Berzerker is that unique taste.:p

Well said both damnation and copper, when i first heard the berzerker it acctually scared me. That's because i wasn't used to having song's like canibal rights and betrayal put to me with such blatent disregard towards the thought's and feelings of those who would listen to it. This band will put you straight about just how "good" the world can be and what it will do to you if you are not ready to enter the "real world". Look man, like damnation said, "metal is a defined taste". You can't really just throw yourself in to music like this, it takes preperation i suppose. any way enough "philosophical" talk. to see if you like it i suggest you either:
1) Go to http://www.theberzerker.com and go on sounds (obviously)
or
2) Get a back-issue of metal hamer No. 123 or No. 111:
No. 123: track 17: the berzerker- Reality
No. 111: track 03: the berzerker- No one wins
This will give you a good CD to listen to and some good reading material to get you in to/show yuou other bands that are out there in the world of the extreme!!!!
