litterature and painting...

I was wondering what are your favourite writers or painters, Exept marylin manson's stupid allusions to the "Marquis de Sade" or his horrible paintings, I hardly heard about litterature or painting in metal world... What about you?
I love Bruegel's and Bosch's pictures and fir several days, I'm reading a Paul Auster novel untitled "Moon Palace"> great.
