"4/5. Like Morbid Angel or Carcass in their prime, Norwegian speed freaks Blood Red Throne indulge equally in over-the-top volume, precision playing, and brute ugliness."
-Revolver Magazine
"8/10. Blood Red Throne disembowel with classic, serrated Floridian death metal... Heavy as fuck with ripping clasic thrash riffage and technical Morbid-like burns, the blast-beating melee's crowned with old-school knuckle-draggin' bellows from Mr. Hustler..."
-Decibel Magazine
"'Altered Genesis' is, not surprisingly, a succession of sick, drop-tuned tunes that are positively hammered into your frontal lobe by ceaseless blastbeats and absolutely ridiculous five-string bass work."
-BW&BK
"The bottom line is that if you're a fan of this style of death metal, you'll want to pick up "Altered Genesis", as it's easily a better-than-average release."
-Blabbermouth.net
"If you like grooving death metal with a lot of great riffs and drumming, I'd recommend it."
-DigitalMetal.com
"This is death metal that could only be crafted by the most macarbre, sick individuals. But god do I love it."
-Stereokiller.com
"'Altered Genesis' is a delightful voyage into mayhem. This is an album that I will recommend highly, as I continue to find my enjoyment increase with each
subsequent listen."
-MetalJudgment.com
"Blood Red Throne is a band that should be in any death metal listener's collection. The music on this offering is extremely solid and has no real weakness unless you simply don't like death metal."
-Lambgoat.com

Some here on the forum thinks that by posting the reviews here, we are bragging about the results we get, but they were posted here as information.
There are no US music magazines available in Norway, and i assume thats the case for most of the other European countries as well. I have never been in the US, never owned or read an US music magazine, so when finally someone sends me an overview of some of the press results, i dont see the harm in sharing them over the forum.
So fuck off to those who say we are bragging.

@Tchort: lol, we don't even find European mags around here (except some gay french ones :p )
I think it is cool to see the opinion of the American people as death metal is bigger there then it is here! Heard a lot of good reactions from Americans i have contact with...
the Belgian people seem to be very fond of the new cd too !!! So better get your ass of here !!! :-D

:D Hey man, its about time there is a band like Blood Red Throne that plays REAL metal! I wanna know what happened when metal was exciting and fun when Metallica was still in the top spot as the thrash kings here in the US (Cliff Burton era), then all of a sudden people are into this rap metal stuff-I just dont get it! The only ones left playing metal are Slayer, and Megadeth, no one seems to want to play double bass drums rapid-fire style, and there is no more sustained lead guitar playing either anymore, its like rapping and hip-hop drumming is in-yuck! I now have to look overseas for metal bands now, for great albums to listen to. Anyway, in my opinion, Blood Red Throne R O C K S!!! Hope to see the band on their US tour in the future, see you in the pit!!!

Just read loudguitars post and I think everyone here is thinking the same. It's flattering for the band, but fuck, how cringeworthy.

about the "lack" of metal bands in the US, did you think off Deicide, Obituary, Vital Remains, Cannibal Corpse etc.
and like morticia said; Morbid angel.
maybe you should look better, cause these bands are fucking great to

There are lots of awesome US deathmetal bands as Harald stated, but don't forgot to mention Nile, Unholy Ghost, and Pessimist as well. Maybe this loudguitars person forgot about the US underground.

Anyway, regarding all those reviews you posted at the top of this thread- We all know that BRT are kings. We don't need no "Stinking Americans" to convince us of that! (Just jokings. Only some of you stink)
So is earache going to be solid, and foot the bill for a fuckin North American tour or what?
Let's see you guys live!
