I guess.. alot of people who might come here are not going to know them
I believe that Godless North ended activities about 2 years ago.
They were a fairly good DT-style band. I still have their CD in my collection , which in effect is my final judgement on a release.
Every band is unknown to me until I hear of them, same goes for everyone.
The bands I'm most leery of are the ones Satyr decides to 'discover'. :)
Khold first ( very bland stuff) and now Disciplin.
Another Black Metal source of activity is the SLAV-CORE bands from the former Evil Empire of the soviets.
Gontyna Kry, Veles, Juvenes,... and a horde-and- a-half of others are in this group. Pan-Slavonism , NS anti-jew attitudes( often VERY confused) , Graveland influenced minimalistic keyboard intros and sword-clashing audio samples...there must be 60 of these bands active at least in recordings.
Alas, the small Sons Of Fire And Steel Board is gone. It was a fine source of info on this scene.

Secrets She Kept (http://www.geocities.com/secretsshekept)
it's like a mixture of mayhem, immortal, and early setherial
OK, Massemord has been pimped to me by enough people that it's the next band I'll try ( if I ever get any more money, I spent an amazing amount in fri$co this weekend.)
Now ,is this Leviathan the one on the split with Juvenes ?

dear friends
i'm heavily into Frost now, their latest release 'Talking to God' is one of my fav rotations. while you're at it check out Anaal Nathrak as well...
I'm also listening to Mor Dagor right now, very impressive stuff from someone who plays black metal with a Fender guitar... :) not that the band is too obscure or anything but it's worth mentioning here...
PS: what does everyone think of the Disiplin release?
Ghettoblaster

The norweigan band "Kvist". They released a VERY, VERY good piece of melodic black metal, called " For Kunsten Maa Vi Evig Vike", and then disapeared. Buy it!

Nocte Obducta, a well- known Group in Germany.
For the rough ones: The album "Schwarzmetall", a Mix of Darkthrone and very old Burzum.
For the Ones with melodic Needs - "Galgendämmerung". Overlong Songs with huge Blasts and genious keys.
