From the samples I've heard, this is gonna be the most agressive, hateful release ever! Devin Townsend is soooo amazing, especially his vocals. I've never heard more agressive vocals than his. Can't wait!

Also looking forward to the new Meshuggah and Dream Theater albums. Oh, and of course Yngwie Malmsteen - Unleash the fury!

Just got the new Origin album a few hours ago....astonishing and amazing is all I can say. I can't quite tell if it is better than Informis Infinitias Inhumanitas...but give me a couple of more listens. :p

Yattering's new album? You mean III by any chance? If so, then it's not new. Made in 2001, I think. They're finally releasing it now. lol it sounds nothing like them (heard from a few samples) but I'm sure that will make it good. If you mean V though....lol can't wait! :D

i don't like the new Meshuggah. I like None, DEI and Chaosphere a lot. I don't agree with you saying Catch 33 is their most complex album, and in fact, I think it's very naggy, predictable and unimaginative. BOOOOOOOORING! i stop listening after like 30 seconds because it doesn't tickle my great brain. then at around 32 mins or whatever i wake up again. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
i like, somewhat, part 10 and the middle and end of the last track. the outro is great
the rest is very old hat though. if I hear another single-string 0 11 0 13 riff ever again i'm gonna kill all tomatoes in the world
and i hate the sound of the 8-strings and the riffs they end up creating on them

These guys should definately tour with Manowar.

I like bodom, their guitar is poor other than the solos which are pretty technical. I love the ending of hatebreeder, i think maybe the greatest ending ive ever heard to a song.

I'm probably one of the biggest bodom fans hear. They have been going a lot more mainstream and nu metal sounding though. I mean, compare hatebreeder to hate crew death roll. Except for 3 or 4 songs on hcdr (Needled, Sixpounder, Bodom Beach Terror, Angels Don't Kill) a lot of it is pretty stale, while hatebreeder is technical and very interesting. I thought it was a one album only thing until I heard Trashed Lost and Strungout. Now I'm convinced that they have pretty much hit the mainstream and have dumbed down their songs a lot more now...... I HOPE I will be surprised

That´s definitly possible! The material on Epitaph is (i guess) about 2 years old and was only created by muhammed - Imagine the new creativity with a complete band of fantastic musicians. But to be honest I think they should be feared of self-copying. Some liks of the onset and the epitaph are pretty similar. I think the necros will take the time they need, to create another death metal opus! And thats perfect like this, right?

yeah you are right about that but i think their new shit is still damn good
but yeah they are dumbing down (probably for us americans) which suck

Origin is definitely not _just another_ technical death metal... at least not on my end. I mean, they've approved so much since the beginnings.. they sound bloody technical nowadays and I have to admit, it's no "I've heard it before" stuff...

I love their last album, guitars sound awesome! The best they've made till now..

It was released in 2004, but I really like Uphill Battle - Wreck of Nerves, cant stop listening to them - especially to the rhythm section, drums and bass are awesome.

Yeah, I can understand that our part of Europe is a bit behind when it comes to "top rank bands".. same here. I mean, I'd like them to come, for there are ppl who like them and it would surely help to overcome some obsticles.. BUT on the other hand we did have some great bands playing here - Morbid Angel (now that was a gem), Dismember, Anata, Enslaved, Kreator, Dark tranquillity..etc. those were all kick ass gigs! + some more, but they're too gay to mention *evil laughter*
I don't know how ppl see Croatia, maybe it's just us..maybe we just don't care about getting CERTAIN bands to play here, so they don't come...

Hey thanks! Yeah, you are right, the scene here and in czech republic is really great! Actually, Depresy are from the same town as I am! So I go to every gig they play here, which is, on the other hand, not so often, cause they are lazy as fuck! But their music is really awesome. I think with more effort and less laziness, they would be a lot more known than they are. It would be cool if you could come to Brutal Assault in czech rep.! I go there every year, its usually the first week of august and it really rules! Necrophagist played there 2 years ago and since then Im trully theirs, lol.

And Orebiæ? Well, why so surprised? Its normal for slovaks to go to Croatia in summer. Im more the trecking type, but it was nice. We went to Korcula and Mljet (that was cool), it was very windy there (as usual), but those 7 days were great!

Not a total waste, he utilizes his talent pretty good in the band, but I'd rather hear him play real metal, but he's more into 80's stuff.

Yeah, I know what you mean, its a pity though. Its the same with me planning to go to Wacken or Summer Breeze every year and then ending up at Brutal Assault, heh (but Im not a student anymore, just a bit lazy and not spending much if not necessary). The line-up for BA 2005 is unknown, for Shindy is a lazy bastard, too and he posts it maybe some 2 weeks before the fest on his site (www.shindy.cz). But Im just kidding, this guy has my full respect for what he does for metal. You can have a look at the last years line up there, too. Among others we saw Misery Index, that was something, yummie!

Ah, Wacken is like light years away for me.. We do have a "baby festival" in Slovenia, which is pretty near, but it takes place when we have exams, so it's not really convenient. AND even though they are rather new in this festival thing, they are not ashamed to be expensive, so.. that's off too, I guess..
