sardonic wrath! somehow it got online. im hearing things that nocturno only gave it to a select few people and now its leaked and hes very pissed off. release wasnt supposed to be till september. the tracks are in 128kbps and theres 7:

Sadly enough they work with civil jobs aswell, but in utopia it would be great if they could and spreading their music on the net doesn't make it easier.

The impression i got from interviews etc. was that Fenriz has no real desire to make a living from his music, which is why they don't go on tour etc. He's got a job at a post office or something hasn't he? Some sort of job where he can sit and listen to music all day on his headphones while working anyway. He's worked at the same place for years now anyway so i'd assume he's fairly happy.

Goin' to Wacken to see "Darkthrone's" live set ( Nocturno with Satyricon), should be good. Personally however i hope the True Darkthrone never tour

"the book is always better than the movie", some music just needs to be listened to in isolation and not in a sweaty little club surrounded by drunk idiots.

"DJ Fenriz" is fairly active however:D


Anyway i might listen to those Darkthrone tracks if i come across them.This happened with the "HATE THEM" album too, that SR Prozak guy from Anus.com put the whole album online before it was released. (Well, I dunno if it was him that actually stole them, but he was distributing the link)

I don't think downloading music particularly harms black metal bands

IE. Burzum.com's old download section "Burzum is for Artists, Activists and Dreamers, not businessmen!"

I'll DL and give it a spin, if I run into it. That's how I check out albums.
If I like what I hear then I'll buy it.
To me, Darkthrone is little more than a garage band.
I like music played with intensity: cold remorseless visions, hot anger...whatever. If the conviction doesn't come across , I'm not interested. I also laugh at ' minimalism' in music: how terribly anal retentive !!
Someone always feels the need to take public umbrage when I express this opinion. :)

They're gonna play a short half hour set with some classics, and the fans are gonna get an opportunity to vote for which recent song they want played at wacken.com,

dunno what i'd vote for, I like all the new albums and all but i couldn't select my "favorite" from them.

Plaguewielder seems to get overlooked quite a lot, but i'm sitting with it on now it certainly goes down well with a beer or two, and the lyrics are spectacular

I think the new Darkthrone has a really great production. it sounds more raw and cutting than hate them and if it isnt a bit faster then more brutal as well... all the darkthrone is great but lately i dont like to go back farther than total death because ive been listening to those old albums for all these years and the newer stuff fits with today better somehow COMMAND! SEDATED WOUND ETERNALLLLLLL

I love those kind of groovy black 'n roll songs they make on the new albums (Sin Origin, Det Svartner Na, Striving For A Piece Of Lucifer, Sjakk Matt Jesu Krist). But also their up-tempo songs

Yeah, I'm not going to download it out of respect for the band. I will buy the album when it comes out to support them.
