hey dude..if you don't mind me asking...how much did you pay for your mode 4? and was i brand-nu, when you got it?

i bought the mode 4 new for around $1200. I used to play a Mesa dual rec with a roctron preamp but it blew up in a horrable accident, haha, so i tried out a million fucking amps before i bought the mode 4. It is fucking sick. I have seen mixed reveiws about it but my opinion is that for what we do, is it the best sound you can get live.

pretty good price, i think i will check one out if i see one in the shops here, see if they are worth the bucks.

um how does one blow an amp? with out taking a hammer to it or setting it on fire or throwing it into the bath of course..or hitting it with a truck.

yeah i play, i got a ibanex rg270dx, peavy cab, crate g-600 head, digitech metal master, boss ge-7 eq, boss ns-2 noise gate. im saving up for a triple rectifier but i got a ways to go. def. a good show on friday you drunk fucker you were all ov the pit i punched you like times in that shit and you were throwing jason around for no reason or was it cause he kicked you in the chest. haha

ya, i would have bought another one but i was $500 short. Its my fault that the Mode 4 doesn't cut through though. As much as i preach about mid-range, i still always end up scooping my amp last minute before we play and that kind of kills my sound. i don't know why i do it, must be OCD, hahaha. My Jackson fits alot better with it cause the Rich has too much low end. Its weird cause i hate maple but i bought the Jackson anyways and now i'm starting to use it more than the Rich. Still debating on which to bring on tour.

hey, what sort of jackson do you have .. and what do you mean buy "scooping" your amp?

i have a custom soloist. and to answer your question from before, our room got flooded from the room above us and when my amp got turned on, it blew up. Literally, it blew up, sparks were a'flyin. What do you play Goaters?

on some amps, their is a scoop button which automatically drops out your mids when you push it. Most Marshalls have this feature.

custom soloist.. that's awesome, the amp blown up must have looked kinda cool but it sounds pretty nasty.. sounds like it was lucky no one got electrocuted.
i kinda play guitar but i've only been playing for 3 and a half years or so, and my gear kinda blows right now i've been playing on random combo amps , but i feel like starting or maybe joining a band so i thought i might invest in some new gear that is not crap..as for my guitar..i don't know why i bought it but i have a esp viper-301 and i biffed a emg 85 into the bridge so basiclly i need nu gear all round..
