oh and btw if i may be so cheeky and ask:

what may we expect from the new album? and do you intend to make a europe tour after it?

About the new album: You can expect us continuing exploring different styles of music. This time around we will have at least four different composers. It will not be another concept-album, like LODDOD, but I think you may find it very interesting anyway. We will again be working with a new producer, and we are all very much exited about this.

And the Summer Breeze live-set: Yes. We will preform about half of the LODDOD-song/album.

See you there!

Kjetil

The problem with bringing the half op the LOD, DOD-song/album, is that you never hear the other half, no matter what half you play... :D

Cause I know you can't play the whole song, considering you're mostly playing for an hour or so... Otherwise you wouldn't be able to play any songs of A Blessing... But it really hurts, having to cut the number when only half-done, cause one knows what other great half is supposed to follow... :D

Wasn't this studio originally located in Norway? Why on earth did he relocate to France, Terje met a French lady? ;)

Most recent productions from Sound Suite sound pretty (over-)produced and clinical, I hope you'll be aiming for a more organic, warm sound... The sound on ABID is beautiful.

Yes, with Mr Refsnes.

His studio used to be located in Sandnes, Norway, for many years, but he relocated after finding a French girl he wanted to be with.

I dont know about his last productions, but i have recorded 3 albums with him already (with Carpathian Forest) and we have very good experience with his work.

We like to think that we have a certain sound in the band, no matter what studio we use, or who we use as a producer. We are looking for a little bit rougher production this time, and we think he will be able to do that for us. Also, most of the bands who have been in his studio the last years, have programmed the drums, and when you do that, its hard to avoid getting a more "clinical sound" than using accoustic drums. Even though they are using good drum samples that Refsnes recorded himself from past recordings (like the snare sound on Sirenia`s first album, is taken from the Carpathian Forest albums Strange Old Brew and Morbid Fascination of Death). We know what we want when we enter the studio, so there is not much to produce, just to engineer and find a good sound.
