In my opinion this album is really underrated by the media, fans and probably by the band too. I've read mostly negative comments on this album.......ok, probably is not as dark as "Towards...." but IMO is GREAT:

fukkin raw sound, chainsaw guitars, chaostormish drums, bulldozer bass, killer riffs, rabid vocals, hateful lyrics and don' t forget the Rok's cover!.....is fukking ugly and abominable BlackMetal like it must be!...and the GOATLUST Ep is killer too!

Or do you prefer the digital flat sound of "The Apokalypse Manifesto"(I'm talking about the gay Abyss studio sound.....the songs are great!) and the ultra-triggered drums on "Xes..."???......

I like it too but the mix is crap and lack of power!! otherwise it's a masterpiece of brutality!!
probably one of the most extreme BM albums ever, makes marduk sounds like wimps!!!

But "XEs...." is perfect!! Trigged ok but killer! it crashed your ribb cage!!

yes, the mix is shit and the drumparts are chaotic...and this is the reason I like it!

Is a sort of modern "Obsessed by Cruelty" if you got the point.
Angelripper hate that album for the abominable sound and mix, but is one of the most EXTREME album ever fot that!

Xes has great songs but as I said the drums are too triggered and the guitars are a bit thin. Carnage had a more powerful sound

PS: I never liked Marduk, their early stuff is just ok, the last is boring black-core
