The MCD "In The Eyes Of Ioldanach" is my recommendation if you've already got "Tara".

Tara would be my favourite album probably, although I have not got them all, only heard them.

Well, then you have some catching up to do. I believe you can order most of the albums directly through Osmose Prod. (www.osmoseproductions.com)

I used to talk to the bassit(Equilant) online....an about a year ago....I asked if my band could cover "she cries...."...but...he told me he left or some't so he couldn't authorise it properly.....Prosipicter was supposed to be auditioning for slayer(i think that fell though)

he still has contact with the band....but he hasn't told me about any new albums...

You actualy ENJOYED TARA?

I bought it because it was discounted and wasn't overly impressed by it. It is the only ABSU I own, and from what I've heard about them their other stuff HAS to be much better. Maybe it's just the production of TARA that gets me down...or maybe those bloody fucking bagpipes.

Barathrum: V.I.T.R.I.O.L. +"Sun ......"

If you dont like Tara, dont get their old stuff. In fact, dont listen to metal, you're too stupid to enjoy it.

Wow......I even stated quite a legitimate reason for disliking it, and failed to slander the band, and I still get called things?

I'm not going to follow a paradigm and like a band because 'that's that metal thing to do.' Nor am I going to pretend to enjoy a band because for some reason I am obliged [as a metal fan] to pay some kind of homage to them.

I am quite an avid metal listener and my collection consists of pretty much everything from Arkheth, to Arkhon Infaustus, to Naglfar, to Vital Remains, to Excruciate, to Carcass, to Fleshless, to Dead Infection, to Dismember, to Morbid Angel, to Gorguts, to Dragonforce, right through to the likes of Theatre of Tragedy and Alas.

After listening to a broad spectrum of metal for a number of years, with absoloutly no disrespect, I have yet to find ABSU appealing to myself.

With all that said, this is a thread relating to their album TARA, and being a discussion forum that this is, I presented my thoughts with elaboration. What more is there to ask?

Im going to have to agree with Jack. Obviously your tastes are subpar. If you can listen to Dismember, Morbid Angel and not be bored to tears, then you should be bowing before the almighty Absu.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Tara. From the awesome booklet, to the technicality of Proscriptor, to the awesome leads, riffs, even the vocals are killer.

So, what in hells name is wrong with you?

Hail from Finland to everyone! I'm new here.

Tara is one of the best albums ever, although it's not perfect (i think those Spell songs could be better).
All the other albums are excellent as well.

I like all of Absu's albums, but my fav is The Third Storm of Cythraul. Barathrum V.I.T.R.I.O.L. was good too for a debut album.
