If you REALLY want Alchemist in the USA, get all your buddies together and nominate them for Ozzfest 2005! I'm going to write to Sharon and Ozzy myself and suggest they have their first ever Aussie band as stage 1 performers, but if Alchemist are going to tour America, that's the way to go to get the most interest!
Peace, Glen.

Yuck , Alchemist does not belong on a OZZfest with all that nu-metal crap .
Well I recon it would be great – good idea Glenn, - I can get you a promo pack if you can get through to them. As for the New Metal point – Well we could drink beer and party while those bands are on while catching the good acts. I recon we could cope!

Ozzfest 2004 stage 1 lineup featured...
Black Sabbath.
Judas Priest.
Slayer.
Hardly nu-metal if you ask me!
Peace, Glen.
No those three are not nu-metal , they are legends but they are playing on the main stage , alchemist who are relatively unknown in the states would play on a side stage .
Where the bands actually have to pay to be part of Shazzfest(face it Ozzy has fuck all to do with whats going on) .
I just feel that Ozzfest is big money making , low credibility festival with lots of meat head fans and bands, as Alchemist don't have a gimmick , I think they would be wasted .
They are way better suited to the recent Prog Power fest they played or maybe trying to get on the Relapse Contamination fest with good bands like Mastodon , Neurosis , Dillinger etc... bands that pushing the limits not just going through the motions .

We have a club up here in Lansing, Michigan called Mac's bar. The relapse tour always comes through there. I would love to see you guys play it. I'm fucking sick of Relapse pushing all the grind bands. Not enough attention gets placed on band like Alchemist.

When I write to Ozzy and Sharon, which I will do once they're back in the US from their current stay in England, I will be suggesting Alchemist as the first-ever 'featured' Australian heavy metal band to appear at an Ozzfest.
I realiose the side stages are full of all sorts of weird and not-so wonderful stuff, so my suggestion would be that they showcase Alchemist as something 'special' for their fans, and give them an early spot on the main stage, like they did Zakk Wilde's BLS and Dimmu Borgir this year, who played before Slayer, then Priest, and finally Sabbath.
Ozzfest is known for introducing new material to their audiences, and I wouldn't for a minute suggest Alchemist as anything but 'new' and a unique offering to the 20,000+ metalheads that attend each Ozzfest outing. There's all sorts of rumours flying around at the moment about the 2005 main stage lineup; Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Priest again, etc etc etc, surely they can find room among all that for one spectacular band from the other side of the planet!
Peace, Glen.

haha I saw in the express mag that they're coming to perth next year so that will be cool.
Gotta go to it.
I'm pretty suprised that they would want to come to Perth, but I am extremely glad to see they're coming back.
Just one thing if Alchemist sees this...Don't have so many support bands :)
I know it's good to give local bands a chance, but 70% of the people there were there just supporting their friends and couldn't give a fuck about awesome music.

All I have to say is.... touring the US would have more then an awesome turnout for you guys. I highly recommend it. Make a stop in Worcester, Massachusetts too while youre at it. At the NE Metalfest... *hint hint*
