i finally got my first green carnation cd yesterday and i love it already!
id like to know what tchort and bjorn tuned their guitars to on LOD, DOD cos id like to learn this song. i have a feeling its lower than standard, but thats pretty obvious, i really have no idea.
its a brilliant album, even after two listens it stikes a chord

I think the tuning is like this:
D (thinnest string)
A
F
C
G
D (thickest string)
You simply tune the guitar a whole note down to D:)

Blessing is also recorded with D tuning.
Michael Krumins joined after that album, and he play drop D, i still play in D. I think he play drop d because he is missing a finger, so power chords are easier in drop D

mmm single finger power chords, yummy!
is there many guitarists here? (apart from the obvious, hehe)
I wonder how everyone plays power chords? I usually play with my index finger for the bottom string, and my 3rd and 4th fingers for the other 2 notes. (assuming a 3 string power chord here).
But i think some people play with 2 fingers, the 2 notes on the same fret with a bar chord. i find this uncomfortable, what do you all think?;)

I play in drop-D, as it's easier to play power cords; and also for fast, heavy riffs, having the D power chord as open makes for some great riffage :D

i use E, D-drop or Cis-tuning...
love the d-drop for fast power chords
the cis for its tonality, power and depth,
the E for its clearance....
i play power chords (minor) as following:
index finger on the fret, small and ringfinger on the strings 4/5
and yeah, if not played minor, add middlefinger to 3 ;)
woot
guitarists!
