Nice pics. Especially the burnt bass drum. At least you can still read the Severed Savior's logo on the other one.

Hey Mike, is the Furman very useful?
I wanted one but here it's very expensive :(

And it's not very surprising you reach this guitar velocity. You must have trained your wrist a lot to be able to raise your rack up.
It must have the weight of a dead horse

If you have a rack, it's essential that you have a good power conditioner. They are great protection for your equipment, and help to filter out some of the rf/emi noise.

And yes, that son of a bitch is heavy as hell.

Sweet setup dudes! I heard you guys share a space with Carnivorous. Since troy is a band whore, just like me. We're setting up a space with Odius/Decrepit this week. We need some sick banners like you guys got there. Word.

Thanks bro! Shon's on tour with Goatwhore playin bass right now. He was using a rig Murray had bought from me awhile back, but Murray sold the 2101 preamp and Yamaha 4x12 cabs, so...
Right now he just has a rack with a power conditioner and tubeworks power amp, lol. He will probably be using an Ampeg VH-140c head we have at our studio for practices until he gets the e570 (hopefully).

Mike, what do you think of the Digitech Valve FX? Didnt Deaver use that on Brutality is Law?

Also, I was looking into the Marshall Dual mono bloc (100 a side)and the Mesa 2:90. Any opinions on the two, and will the Mesa 2:90 power 2 Marshall 4x12?

Don't want to put my word on something that doesn't looks me, but Matt, you should look the VHT 2/90/2 too

I think it's the same price has the Mesa one, and it's believed to be the best poweramp ever.
Hand made, some legendary amps builder (Custom Audio electronics for exemple, that build amps for Tribal Tech, Holdsworth, steve Lukather...) don't build poweramp cause they say it's the better one.
It's made in California, so i believe you could find a used one for "nothing" :D

The Digitech Valve fx, 2101, 2112, and 2120 are all great "all in one" units. Of those, I prefer the 2101. But the Valve fx can get some good death metal tones too. But like most solid state preamps, they all lack the warmth and quality of gain structure that a tube preamp has.
The Marshall and 2:90 are both great poweramps. But certain preamps are designed to be used with specific power tube types.
It really depends on what preamp you go with. The most common power amps use either 6L6, EL34, 6550, or KT88's. Each have their own distinct qualities, and can make a huge difference depending on what preamp they are teamed up with.
As far as the 2:90....it's very reliable, sounds pretty good and has more power than anyone would ever need. You can easily power 2 4x12 cabs.
The poweramps I would reccomend (depending on the preamp used) would be VHT, Mesa, and Engl.

yeah, of course the Engl one is great too
