Crisis- TOURING WITH KITTIE/OTEP.. CONFIRMED!!

So i saw Otep at Ozzfest.. who put on a halfway decent show.... annd i meet her and the bassist Evil J after there show.... Otep wasnt that friendly but Evil J was cool as ca be... He said... Yeah we are touring with Kittie and Crisis in latish September, and I cant wait!!


So this will be awesome.. I think that this could Crisis gget more fans, hopfully help Kittie... i mean i know most people dont like em.. but really they are amzing live, and i think have left the whole, "NU-MeTaL" scene a while ago, the bassist Jennifer... is CRAZY and easily one of the most best Bassist I have witnessed.... it willl kick major ass.....

You do indeed have the right to your opinion. And all of us will respect it as such. We have no choice if we want this to remain a civil and strong forum about the band. We are all mature here and can handle that, I think.

All that we ask is that you also respect the fans which are as diehard as they can come. Many of us have very strong feelings about Crisis and get very defensive when anyone says something negative about them. But as I have had to learn, not everyone can like Crisis or what they do!

There have been more than a few people who have said that they like the 'old' Crisis. Keep in mind, however, that it has been 7 years since "The Hollowing" and the band has undergone many personal and musical transformations and evolutions.

It is okay to not like the music they just put out, just like it is okay not to like what they have put out in the past. Diversity of opinions is a good thing. It keeps us all humble and honest.

I'd be interested to know, as a Crisis fan of 5 years, specifically what you do not like about the new material, in comparison to what you obviously like about the old?

in addition, I've seen a few escalations around the forums of the internet over these exact 3 bands, for reasons that I dont even know fully. which is why I'm suprised these three bands are touring together. In my mind, this sounds more like a tour of coincidence, maybe, being that theyre ending up in the same region, give or take.

elohdaeh, you are entitled to your opinion. maybe it was just how blunt your opinion was that turned me off right away, i dunno.

deeming it not needed, i'll keep my opinions of kittie to myself, but in comparison to crisis, there is no comparison for me. musically i believe crisis is superior in every way, shape or form. And it truly is the shape of their music that makes them rise above the others. they have made changes to the music, but i believe they retain the core of what makes them so great. Their blood sweat and tears shows in their music, all the way through

and what is your basis of comparison???????????????????? i can only respect your opinion if it is fully explained/justified with an educated response.

I cannot pinpoint exactly what it is about the new crisis album that i don't like. I gave it a few listens and it fell short of anything i expected. Nothing struck me as wow this is good. It kinda just went in one ear and out the other and didn't stick. It just seem like there is nothing there, nothing special about the album, its bland and plain and after a few listens and no feelings of enjoyment i put it away and pretty much haven't thought about it since.

my first crisis cd was like that too (D.E.). but the more i listened, the more i noticed certain aspects that just grew on me. it turned out to be my favorite album of theirs

all i know is that i was so happy to see crisis play again live! they rocked in austin! the only complaint was that their set was way too short! i have seen them play every chance i get in austin and i can't wait until they come back! i think what makes them such a great band is that they actually take time out for the fans! they are pretty chill as people but kick ass when it comes time to perform on stage! they always remember my face, no matter what my hair color or how long it has been since the last time i saw them! i have been a fan of their music for almost 10 years and i look forward to seeing them for a longer set on the next tour! rage on ppl!

I got to meet all of Crisis at the show they put on this past tuesday. I caught Karyn at the shirt stand and told her that while I like Ill Nino and SoulFly I was their to see 12 Tribes and her group. She reached over and grabed me one of the stickers they were selling and gave it to me. I thought that was cool as ice cream. I was so drunk though I forgot to have her sign it. But I did get Jwyanaza and Afzaal to.

Her "Pathetic" singing is alot fucking better then haveing otep sit there and read usueless fucking Poetry and having alot of songs about her dad raping her.. Sure it is serious, but when you sit ther and sing stuff like that it is just disturbing...

Morgan is an amazing singer and screamer... Unlike Oteps who sounds like a fucking macine.... Morgans high screams and shit are amazing... IT is not made for fucking 12 year old girls you loser, everyone has there own goddamn oppinon... Dont dis the people for it... Kittie is NOW a mature band now... Get use to it...

OK, you've stated your opinion and i respect that. But your little view on how all of their song are about her childhood sexual abuse then you obviously do not read the lyrics. And yes, that may be a disturbing subject to make music with, but at least theres a valid point, not like Kittie and their shitty lyrics. They've always had shitty lyrics but at least on their previous albums the music was decent. But no, on until the end they made sure that the music was lousy as well as the lyrics.

Morgan is no fucking bitch, she has helped me in so many goddamn ways, and is so nice to their fans, while EVERY time I meet Otep, she is kinda mean...

Into the Darkness is a horrible song for Kittie, i hate it and i will say that.. But alot of there lyrics are shitty... some get bad, but look at Otep.....

Kittie is a band with Full on fucking metal (look so preety, Burning bridges, Daughters down) and yet with melodic songs (Until the End *best fucking song ever*, In Dreams Lovelesss....

To me They pull of AMAZING songs.. And otep pulls of some brutal fucking songs.... CRISIS of coruse rocks....

And it Kittie is headling.. so Otep will be on before.

alright, i just joined this forum..and i know this isnt' the best first post ever...but OTEP_CannibaL all of your posts in this thread are about how bad Kittie is...if you don't like them, why spend so much of your time whining about it. Just get over it..if you don't want to see kittie then don't...They are headlinging the tour, just do everyone a favor and leave the show early if you are just going to bitch and complain.

I am a huge Kittie fan, i have been a fan since 1999. They have grown as a band and as musicians. Morgan's vocals are amazing, if you have any doubt about that how about you stay and watch them play. As for thier lyrics being shitty...maybe the ones from Spit, which weren't actually shitty, just shitty compared to the ones from Until The End...have you taken the time to actually listen/read the lyrics?

I've seen both Kittie and Otep live. I've seen kittie 6 times and Otep once at Ozzfest. I was not impressed by Otep's show, but i'm not going to go out of my way and talk shit about her like you are doing Kittie. In fact i joined the Otep board to try to calm some of this fucked up fueding that's going on. If the bands can respect each other enough to tour together, then why can't the fans show the same type of respect?


This tour is going to be amazing...why bitch and argue over who is on the bill, if you don't like that band just don't watch them, use that time as a "potty" break, to buy merch or just bullshit with your friends. and Don't tell me that you can't just ignore a band when they are onstage..i'm from Detroit, and the venue here(Harpo's) has 2343 shitty local bands play at each show and i ignore them, so it's not that big of a deal.

if you would have seen who i originally quoted, you would know that i did not go out of my way just to attack kittie. there was someone who posted earlier saying they hated both Otep AND Crisis...now come on....thats just sacriligious. but anyway, whoever i was arguing with went out of their way to make me look bad so i just returned damage, whats wrong with that?

again about the tour...yes it is pretty cool....but grouping a experimental metal band, a goth metal band, and a pop metal band is just not a very good combination. you know that its just because each band has a female front. thats also another thing that bothers me.
