yo, seeking the rippinist shredders in a neo classical/death/heavy context.

suggestions sought.

these are some acts i dig:

metal:
obituary - the end complete is vicious
death
carcass
arsis
megadeth - r.i.p. rocks
sepultura - well arise was rippin anyway
cacophony - gods
testament w/- skolnick
immolation
anata

shredders:
george bellas - whoa...
theodore zirus
david valdes
jason becker - of course
matt mills
michel angelo (batio) - insanely talented
german shauss
michael romeo
conrad simon
rusty cooley
hess

just recently learned about necrophagist & carpharnum - great to finally hear genuine & meaningful shredding in a death metal context.

ideally, i'm seeking obituary/carcass featuring solos by cacophony & michael angelo...

Check out a band called "BEHOLD.... THE ARCTOPUS". It's instrumental, sorta thrashy, with some great shredding. Very talented band.

Also check out "PSYOPUS". Great technical metal. But beware, they are very chaotic and sorta spazzy. Really good though.

Sorry for this ruthless selfpromotion, but if you want you can download a few MP3's from my own band and check em out. People tend to compare our music with bands like MA, Immolation, Suffocation and stuff like that...:

capharnaum and necrophagist are some of the best tech death metal of today. Old stuff that is good is gorguts, cryptopsy...
