I always thought Reth would be better if their stuff was a bit more distorted haha.

Leeds has a pretty healthy scene at the moment. N.C., T.A.G. and Reth are all killer, especially live.

Yes, as an instrument outfit, they played Leeds Devastator recently.

Cheers man. That's why I started this thread. There's some great bands in Leeds at the moment, and ones from the past too, such as Narcosis (though technically they were from Wigan). It needs spreading about, 'cos I reckon a lot of folks would get a lot of enjoyment out of it.
Speaking of Narcosis, their back catalogue's getting released on Earache soon methinks. That should be good.

Don't know where in the UK they're from, but Gorerotted/The Rotted pwn. New album has a nice punky vibe to it too.

Aye, nice guys. John was a complete wreckhead, hehe, he made me laugh. Shame he's not in them any more really, but I suppose that's kinda one of many reasons they changed the name.
new album is deathcore.
Fuck em.
Rushy is a far better more capable drummer than he was ever put to use for in Gorerotted, sorry, 'Tha Rotted'.
Apparently they completely blew at Wacken too.

Anybody remember a band called Narcosis? These guys were fantastic! I got to see them in Birmingham (UK) before they disbanded! (Earache is putting out their Discog.)

A couple of members started a new band called The Ergon Carousel. SHECK IT!

um, nice plug but I saw Infected Disarray twice in 2006, so yeah mate, I've heard of them.
Detrimentum too :emot-part
Rushy's a top bloke as well as being an outstandin drummer, so I say good riddance to 'The Rotted', their loss.
Oh and Cerebral Bore owe me a tenner, the thieving Scots bastards.

Well, to use some obvious stereotypes, that's the Scotts for you. Hehe...
Not really, they bought shirt off us - considering how crap those shirts were, that was a serious act of charity!!
I sent them a tenner for a shirt + cd package which never turned up, got onto them about it and they supposedly sent out another one, which itself magically didn't turn up either so I gave up after that.

Oh shit! Awesome, man! I caught the Necrophagist gig over there in B-ham! Still one of the most intense Grind sets I've ever seen!
Mumakil supported Negrogayfist in Leeds as the "local" support - well, Switzerland is kind of local in a global commuter sense hah - and were in danger of blowing the rest of the bands off the stage...
