Tarantino is a master entertainer. The guy just plain knows how to make movies that are fun to watch, regardless of subject matter.
Now, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, THAT is fucking garbage. And yes, I mean the original. Horrible in just about every way.

I'll second the TCM hate, no one ever gets why I don't enjoy that. It builds and builds and builds and..nothing really happens. I don't care if times were different when it was made. It bores the shit out of me.
Any Nightmare on Elm Street movie not involving Heather Langenkamp
Nekromantik 1 and 2. I'm so tired of the hype of this movie. Its really nothing special. Its got some cool effects but thats it. If you want good Jorg Buttgereit check out Schramm or Der Todesking but forget Nekromantik and Nekromantik 2. They are not that disgusting. The best part of Nekro is the cool looking corpse they made. Look at a picture and save yourself 60 minutes.
The Amityville Horror. Sorry, its not scary or remotely creepy. I can't remember ever being that bored during a movie.

I didn't hate Citizen Kane, but I've always felt the amount of praise it gets is undeserved. It's certainly not "the best film ever made" nor even the "best AMERICAN film ever made." I understand its influence on American filmmaking, but I feel it hasn't aged as well as a lot of critics want it to have aged. All the "revolutionary" techniques Welles used were borrowed from foreign directors. That said, I still love Orson Welles and Joseph Cotten (the latter of whom basically makes the film).
Most classic Film Noirs I've seen have left me wanting more, such as The Maltese Falcon, Gaslight, and The Postman Always Rings Twice. I understand the significance of how they subtly got around the Hays Code, but I honestly think the censorship hampered what those films could have achieved without it. Now, The Third Man, THAT is a great film noir. Just goes to show that Europe can take any American-born film genre and make it better.
In general, the whole Classic Hollywood Style makes rather antsy. I've never found its paradigms aesthetically pleasing.
Pretty much anything starring Mel Gibson, Robert Redford and all Russell Crowe films bar Gladiator.

I personally don't think it sucks. I think it's actually a very good exercise in cinematic storytelling, particularly in the way it builds suspense. It just doesn't really have any kind of intellectual content (which is ok by me in certain cases).
Honest piece of advice, though, if Pulp Fiction is your favorite movie of all time, I think you're ready to broaden your horizens. It used to me my favorite as well, along with a lot of other 1990s "hip" crime films, until I started exploring a lot of way better European films.

Taking a shitty/meaningless plot, and fucking with the way the story is told to make it seem original and hip, = horrible directing. Or the fact he rips off better/more original movies and claims to be paying homage to them to justify it, that's another reason he's a horrible director.
The fact you actually think the dialogue that faggot comes up with is good...your entire existence is a joke now.
Vincent: And you know what they call a... a... a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris?
Jules: They don't call it a Quarter Pounder with cheese?

Jules: Then what do they call it?
Vincent: They call it a Royale with cheese.
Jules: A Royale with cheese. What do they call a Big Mac?
Vincent: Well, a Big Mac's a Big Mac, but they call it le Big-Mac.

300 didn't suck. It just wasn't as good as it was supposed to be. I think the pacing is what killed it. "OH SHIT FUCK HE JUST DECAPITATED THAT GUY YES!!!!...Oh what? What the fuck? Why is this bitch on screen now talking about politics? FUCK THIS!"

2001 a space odyssey was frustrating..
any reasons? keep in mind it came out 1968, the fx and ideas used in the film are still impressiv, maybe just not your cup of tea. i guess it comes often with movies that are hyped like there is no tomorrow.

2001 is a brilliant movie...doesn't mean i particularly enjoy watching it more than once every few years.

300 made me want to gouge my own eyes out. What an abysmal, overhyped, underwritten piece of shit.

haha yeah it's junk. basically a hollywood movie aimed at teenage girls who think that vampires are sexy. no suspense, horror, or worthwhile plot. Near Dark is about twice as sexy, and it also happens to be an unbelievably good movie, not just within the vampire or horror genre, but in general.

I think the term "classic" is getting stretched pretty far here.

Most people's knowledge of movies only stretches back that far. Unless you follow film a lot, you're not gonna know the pantheon of films usually hallowed as "classics" or "best ever." Most people in America (I'm not referring to anyone specifically on this board) are too ignorant to even check out films from before the 1970s (if that, even) because "duuurrrrrrr.....0ld m0vies r st00pid n b0ring!", so they don't even have the background to criticize Citizen Kane, Casablanca, or Gone With the Wind's classic status.
