25 000 and counting...

The official websiteGREEN CARNATION (http://www.green-carnation.tk) passed 25 000 visitors! The days until we start recording the new album, is also passing by, and we are getting closer and closer.. We met today in the rehearsal room - listening to the different pre-productions we have done so far. We have 14-15 songs to choose from and thats a first time for us - we have always written one album at a time, and never written alot of songs to choose from.

We are now gonna spend the weekend listening to the material and decide which songs that we feel will make this album complete.

Excellent! What about the songs that don't make to the album. Will they appear on another release? An EP perhaps?

Yeah, we had a 7" or a EP in mind. Looks like we are gonna have some 20-25 minutes of new material that will not make it on the album. Normally we would just make the album a really long one, perhaps even a double album, but with the DVD just being released, as well as the vinyl box set, i think the fans will be drowning in Green Carnation if we put out a double album as well in the near future.

But the main reason, is that we have a very strict recording period in France, so it doesnt allow us to record more than we need either.

Don't worry about it, if you are considering a double album, just do it!!!

A new album now? cool!!! I thought we had to wait for LOD,DOD part 2&3 for new material.

So, we had a band meeting/rehearsal last sunday and we went through the 14-15 songs we had written so far, and we decided to pick 11 of them - making yet another LONG album (if we used Deicide`s album length as a standard, this would be our 8th album or so..).

We are very happy with the material, and we are happy to include our new members, Michael S Krumins and Kenneth Silden as composers in the band as well.

Now we are working on the live set for the festivals + the new album, and we are trying to work out the melody lines for the vocals, as well as the lyrics.
