Top 5 Death Metal

Not much of a deathmetal guy, but ill see if i can think of five albums i like.

Death: sound of perserverance (In my ears, this is the best death(the band) album, and i wish i had made it. The sound, the riffs, the solos. Tons of good stuff on this one.)

Morbid angel: Covenant. (This has always been my favourite morbid angel album, since the day it was released, and it still is)

Luciferion: The Apostate. (This album is darned cool, just like everything else wojtek lisicki is responsible of. He definitely has his own style of writing/playing music, and i happen to dig it a lot.)

Vader: Litany, or Black to the blind. (just felt a need to mention Vader, as i have liked a lot of their music over the years. Litany has a really cool production, and is just very crushing and cool deathmetal.)

Pestilence: consuming impulse. (Just a cool album. By a good band... dunno...

Well... Probably not a list I will stand very strongly behind in a few days or hours... But right now, these are some albums, that at least need to be mentioned when speaking about my favourite deathmetal albums...

Ah, and Carcass of course, Heartwork. And Entombed: To ride, shoot...blabla... and uprising. Hehe, I am unevil, and prefer a lot of newer less deathmetallic albums...

Dying Fetus - Destroy The Opposition

By FAR my favourite death metal record. Unbeliveable growls and great technical skills!

Spawn Of Possession - Cabinet

This record simply blew me away. Not mush to say, really.

Morbid Angel - Domination

Their best in my opinion.

Suffocation - Effigy Of The Forgotten

The masters.

Death - Symbolic

Can't be done better.

Fleshtized - Here Among Thorns

Some great underground death metal from the US. Everybody should check those guys out.

Well, that was 6. I could go on and on and on...

Rightfully - The upcoming record from Necrophagist should have a place, but it'll have to wait. Otherwise there is always Hate Eternal, Opeth, Nile, Krisiun, Exmortem, Iniquity and a lot of other great bands out there.

i'm new to this forum shit, but i just wanted to say Exmortem fucking kills!! without a doubt one of the better bands playing the modern brutal tech style of DM... as for top 5, as of now my list is:

Ophiolatry - The Anti Evangelistic Process
Immolation - Close To A World Below
Deeds Of Flesh - Inbreeding The Anthropophagi
Suffocation - Breeding The Spawn
Death - Individual Thought Patterns

those are the first 5 that stick out but of course theres many more

...ophiolatry plays some technical brutal style its pretty unique, reminds me of old deicide in the simpler parts heheh, but the guitar work is really chaotic and unique for the most part... highly recommended
i think deathgasm records is selling the full length, they also have a split with infernal dominion which is not as good imo

I heard a friend of mine saying that 'None So Live' is even faster than 'None So Vile'. Is this true? If so, I need to get it!
