Préliminaire sexy à un album à venir plus tard cette année, c'est une démonstration efficace de savoir faire en matière de death/thrash à la Carnal Forge (en plus mélodique) / Hatesphere qui nous est livré ici. Bien mélodique (à la Scandinave quoi), un micro-poil hardcore (pour certains vocaux – les plus aigus du lot), cette galette nous sert en substance une musique féroce, défoulatoire et in your face.

Pas de vrai reproche à faire au groupe. C'est parfaitement construit, c'est carré, c'est bien amené, ça ne souffre en fait d'aucune faute de goût. Etant donné ma propension à apprécier les morceaux qui se démarquent et qu'il est doux de growler dans son jardin, en plantant des choux à la mode de chez nous, je reprocherai quand même à A House Cursed un petit manque de personnalité. La recette du genre est exécutée avec maestria, certes, mais peu d'ingrédients nouveaux ont été incorporés à cette sympathique tambouille. L'utilisation de deux voix distinctes peut être éventuellement cité comme une petite particularité, habituellement plus usitée chez les grindeux (un clin d'œil à Splatter Day Saints peut-être?) que dans le Suédeath. On pourrait aussi évoquer la décélération doomy à 2:24 sur « Here There Be Horrors » ou le lead de basse bien chouette à 1:32 sur « Neurasthenia ». On s'apercevra aussi que le groupe aime à proposer des plans nombreux et variés, loin de la linéarité de certain de ses collègues, ce qui fait qu'on ne s'ennuie à aucun moment à l'écoute de ces 3 titres, et que – additionné aux légères intonations core du chant – le groupe s'inscrit vraiment dans son époque. Mais mis à part ces menues customisations, on pourra retrouver dans « By Triage » tous les poncifs du genre, y compris la doublette de grattes Maideniennes qui se la donnent sur l'hommage à Shining qu'est « Welcome To The Overlook », et un final tout de piano et de délicat violon vêtu, qui n'est pas sans évoquer d'autres outros instrumentales renommées comme « No Dreams Breed In Breathless Sleep » (Dissection) ou « The Mind's Eye » (Dark Tranquillity).

Bref, tous les Mitch et autres amateurs de Suédoiseries mélodiques mais bien punchy ('y a même du blast par moment ma bonne dame !) ne trouveront que peu de choses à redire à propos de ce « By Triage » qui remplit son contrat sans faillir. On attendra maintenant l'album à venir pour se faire une idée plus précise de la tenue du groupe sur la durée.

I have to stop passing behind Keyser, myself. Yes yes, even outside of the periods where he is improperly digesting his grand-ma's soup. Indeed, the most tatoo'd reporter of Trasho (not including... whatever), having not appreciated the locked grind of Splatter Day Saints, I went to console the group based on "Dont worry baby, he's an active Devourment fan whos knows nothing of techno-trash and who doesnt appreciate the Stolen Babies and Whourkr. You just have to see Olibrius' genre". And there we see, from an impressive comeback of a (flight, I believe), a few weeks later, - oh so you like us? Well then eat this! I take 3 "skeuds" to write up "By Triage" from "A house cursed" and it is the first of this series. Preliminarily sexy to an album that will come later this year, its a good demonstration of "know-how" in matter of death/trash like Carnal Forge (a bit more melodic) / hatesphere that is delivered to us. Quite melodic (scandinavian-like), a micro-hair hardcore (for some of the vox - the most highpitched), this cookie serves as a substance of ferocious music, "defouling" and in your face.

I've got nothing agaisnt the group. Its constructed perfectly, its square, brought properly, it doesnt suffer from any taste flaws. Since I appreciate songs that are out of the ordinary, that are "soft of growling in the field, by planting some vegetables home-style", I still didn't like a little lack of personality from A house cursed. The genre-mix is executed with "maestria", yes, but few new ingredients were incorporated with this "sympathy (tambouille)" (WTF this guy is super-french man).

The use of two distinct vox can eventually be cited as a small side-note, most often utilised more from the grinders (talkin bout Splatter Day Saints) than used in the Suédeath. We could also evoque the "doomy deceleration" at 2:24 on "here there be horrors" or the cool bass lead at 1:32 of "neurasthenia". We will notice also that the group likes to propose numerous plans and varied, far from the linear ways of certain colleges, which makes us listen to the 3 titles without being bored - in addition to the light intonations core of vox - the groupe writes really in their time. But, apart from this menu of customisations, we can find in "by triage" all the (poncifs?) of the genre, including the double (Gratte Maideniennes WTF???) who gives hommage to Shining that "Welcome to the overlook", is a final all of piano and delicate violin, which evoques other instrumental outros like "« No Dreams Breed In Breathless Sleep » (Dissection) ou « The Mind's Eye » (Dark Tranquillity)."

In summary, all of the "Mitch" and other amateurs of Swedish mélodic but very punchy (there are even blasts) wont find much to re-cite about "By Triage" which fills its contract without failure. We will now wait the album to come to give us more of an precise idea of the bands outcome.
