I completely changed my setup over the last couple weeks. Figured, new album, let's take a new approach, add some new sounds, etc. The cymbals got re-arranged because I found myself only playing a few, due to location, and I wanted to organize the sounds by comfort. The sounds I use the most got assigned spots where I naturally go more often. It's not the symmetrical setup I had for eons, but it's easier to play. I have to re-learn the old songs tho, cause nothing is were it should be, haha.
Then the drums got re-arranged because I got a new Sonor hi-hat stand. I tore it compltely down, removed the legs, and got a mount for the bass drum hoop. This brought it much closer (the goal) but I had to shift all the toms because they were in the way. Settled on a more compact arrangment. I really like it so far, with my playing more concentrated on the upper toms now which cut a bit more than the lower ones. This setup now features the Aquarian heads.

The IC powers the red jam block I bought just for fun. I used to play ICs before Axis, so I had them sitting around.
i think i'm the only drummer ever that is actually trading their axis pedals in for eliminators

No, I know of others who prefer the eliminators. I a huge fan of Axis, and will preach their virtues, but it's not religion...whatever works for you, go with it. It's about the result, not what gear got you there.

I thought this would be a thread of people fucking drums.
But since you're a drummer, let me ask you something. What do you think of heel-toe (I think that's what they're called) bass pedals?

I'm guessing you're talking about pedals like the Giant Step, where you power two beaters, one with the toe, one with the heel.
Most drummers consider that "cheating" but I don't have a problem with it. It's just progression of technology, and it's an antirely different skill to properly use one. You can't just sit down and double your speed in a day because you bought one. Like anything else, you need to train and practice to get good at using one. So it doesn't give me the heartburn it gives most drummers. Just my opinion.

Explain your request for the deal??? It makes a sound like a wooden block when struck. i.e. this video:

How are the aquarian tom heads for you? I'm thinking about going to coated but I haven't had much experience outside of Evans (which have been shit for me).
