Most people hate MF but I've never had a problem with them.

I hate MF. GC is the same company. Hate them too. :emot-shak
I've had nothing but good service and great prices from interstate. The people there will tell you the truth and they usually even play music to boot.

Never had a problem at all with MF or GC. I also just bought a few things from Sam Ash, and they've been great. Carry things GC/MF doesn't.

Guitar Center sucks, I don't mind Musicians Friends though. I've bought from both and never had a problem, but I hate how the employees at GC fucking beg you to buy shit. They're relentless.

Each GC is different. I've been to some where the staff is clueless, and I've been to some where the staff knew their shit. Been to some where they don't bug yo to buy, been to some where they do.
I used to love the GC in Fairfax. They had two very good drummers who knew their shit. And the department head gave me so many discounts, and often stuff at cost, it was ridiculous.
I went there the other day (both those guys are now gone) and I asked the guy in the drum department if they had a bass drum hoop mount for the hi-hat stand. I explained it and everything, and he sat their staring at me like my head was made of candy.
The other guy knew what I was talking about, but that was about the extent of his knowledge. Neither even so much as offered to look it up in the system and see if they could order me one. Went home and got it off Sam Ash. Be here this week.
Like any chain store, it's hit or miss when you walk in.
