U Can't Hold No Groove by Vic Wooten

Wooten's technique aren't that hard to get down it's his CHORDINGS. He hits these huge ass 3-7 stretches that kill me. Not to mention the harmonics he incorporates into chording and whatnot.

Also finishing up writing my own Mario Metal/Tech Metal/Primuscore shit.

Y tu?

i go on and off from learning songs, ive got mixed feelings about them. But in the past ive tried some suffocation and element, which i got down really well. I moved on to SOP and OM but its a little too hard so im working on my technique before re-attempting

Working on a bunch of defeated sanity songs and marlon's songs (all at 75% tempo for the moment, hahahaha...), as well as perfecting Sour Flow... I just need to get it cleaner and a few parts better memorized and I'll have that one 100% mastered \m/

writing stuff for my bands march e.p. Studying scorched. Sour flow isn`t that hard to perform but memorizing is another story. Songs i`m practicing by other people:Cynic-Veil of maya, Tony Macalpine-sacred wonder, Vinnie Moore-Morning Star. I also have been reading Guthrie Govan`s book creative guitar. Just got done with Petrucci`s rock discpiline. It gets less promising the more you get into the book. The warm ups are invaluable but alot of it is kind of meh....Need to work on my paul gilbert videos. Love that dude.

i love playing classical pieces for electric guitar, especially cello pieces... none of that fingerstyle counterpoint, alternate picked single note riffs ftw

I have the first minute or so of that down, I learned it as a tapping exercise and I just fell in love with it. TAPPING THAT"S RIGHT I SHREADZ

But seriously, that's a beautiful song, check out John Patitucci's version on Heart of the Bass...that guy is like Mace Windu on his instrument. He can blast an upright too.

as tapping? thats interesting, cant quite see how thatd be done. I havent heard of John Patitucci, but now that you mention it ill try finding some stuff by him, thanks.

Playing classical music so far seems just as fun as death metal, just in a different way. A totally different feeling.

the stretches and harmonics are pretty straight compared to the mid section with the triple popping all over the place. that`s a real nasty bitch to get down. Used to play that one years ago, maybe I should pick it up again. I`d like to see some footage , though :emot-hand
