... for those who didn't read it already :D
Yes, Impaled is alive.
The last year has been a lot of work. It was lots of hard work using our newfound wealth after signing with Century Media to fly all over the world, from Costa Rica to Hawaii to Madrid... now that the money has run out, and our skin is a tawny bronze from all the hard sunbathing we engaged in, it's time to get back to the fun that is Impaled.
Our newest record, Death After Life, nears completion. With songs like "Mondo Medicale," "Medical Waste," and "The Dead Shall Dead Remain," it's sure to add a lot to the morass and confusion that is metal. Producer Trey Spruance of Mr. Bungle has done an amazing job with a mix that is sure to revolutionize... something, I'm just not sure what yet.
We have begun playing shows with our newest doctor, Dr. Jason Kocol, and every show has been a resounding success. And by success, I mean that we survived the onslaught of angry peasants with their ever-present rakes and torches. Such is post 9-11 life for a band who's mantra is to subvert the dominant paradigm.
Updates have been few, part of the reason being the work on a new site that's sure to destroy the brilliant minds at Microsoft. Keep an eye out, and as always, stay dead.
