Respectfully quoted from Terrorizer Magazine #163 (Nov 2007):

DEFEATED SANITY
"Psalms Of The Moribund"
Grindethic
It's hard to think that these boys have been around since 1996 and are still putting out albums of such astounding quality. Attention-grabbing from the get go "Psalms Of The Moribund" is an absolute mindfuck of an album that takes your breath away. And whatever the drummer is on should be made readily available over-the-counter as this fucker plays at 1,000 miles-an-hour and doesn't seem to break a sweat.
Defeated Sanity are about as brutal as death metal gets and as this album spins around an axis of frantic-BPM double-bass work-outs that would embarrass a drum machine playing gabba, before veering across the central reservation into a deep throated grind frenzy that's so heavy it defies belief.
For cultural reference points "Psalms..." is a concoction of all the best bits of Deicide, Napalm, Carcass and Suffocation. If there is any justice in the world "Psalms..." will be on every single of your shopping lists this Halloween.
