Lunasphere - because it's the first stuff I heard and loved. I really like Austral Alien but the mystery was all with Lunasphere. Poetry!

Jar Of Kingdom is my favorite. Abstraction is probably the best song ever!
The least favorite would be Eve Of The War, because of Eve Of The War song. eh :( :(

Austral Alien.
Alchemist continue to get better with each successive release. That's not at all to say previous albums weren't fantastic though.

An Aussie mate I used to email taped me Lunasphere and Organasm, I loved them equally and listened to that tape continuosly till it chewed up in my walkman (<--proper old skool :D). Now I have everything, I still reckon those two albums are my faves, but like you've all said all their stuff has been brillant....too hard to just pick one :D

Austral Alien would probably just pip Organasm for me

Hey Glen, I thought what you mentioned was a reprisal of themes as in a classical symphony. Also, this gives "Austral Alien" more of a feel of being ONE piece of art instead of a collection of 11 songs.

rod singing on a track.
Hey mattyj, thanx a lot for the info! Which song was that?

It was Alchemist first demo
You mean the "Demo '90", don't you? Not "Eternal Wedlock" from 1987? Of course, you are: Rod "only" joined Alchemist in 1989. Stuoid me!

it had Rod singing on a track and an instrumental aswell...
Which of the four songs were these, respectively?
If that first release still is your favourite, what do you think of their more recent efforts?
By they way, could you - or anybody else out there - make a copy of the 1987 and 1990 demo tapes - and their inlays - for me, please?!
I'd pay all your expenses via Paypal, of course.
