Due to the recent departure of Scott Young to focus on his solo material and Darkest Dawn,
Alarum are looking for a second guitarist for upcoming live shows. Any interested guitarists should contact us via myspace www.myspace.com/alarummusic or email info@alarum.com.au

Brief Bio:
Alarum are currently working on their 3rd album, ‘Natural Causes’ which is set for a 2008 release.
The writing for the album is almost complete and the band are currently completing the last few songs and working on pre-production before hitting the studio….
Over the years the band has developed their technical/progressive jazz/fusion influenced style of thrash/death metal to become one of Australia’s leading metal bands.
Alarum have played many shows around the globe with bands such as Necrophagist, Testament, Obituary, Dark Tranquillity, Lamb Of God, Cattle Decapitation, Arsis, Neuraxis, Gojira, Gorerotted, Aghora, Anata, Psycroptic, Alchemist, Mortal Sin, Into The Moat, Odious Mortem, Tangaroa, Job For A Cowboy & many more.
Australian festivals Metal For The Brain & Overcranked have been played on numerous occasions and in 2006 Alarum performed at The New England Hardcore & Metal Festival, California Metalfest & Maryland Deathfest as part of the ‘Carving North America’s Epitaph 2006” tour supporting Necrophagist.
A highlight for the band came when Kelly Shaefer/Atheist joined Alarum onstage in Florida to perform the classic Atheist track Piece Of Time.
