California Deathfest - Cancelling our performance

We regretfully need announce that we will not be playing the California Deathfest on September 28-30. We were unable to secure a solid drummer for the show. I along with Jesse will still be at the fest running the Brutal Bands merch table, so please stop by and say what's up.

Well although we don't like doing it, because we were booked for the fest, we would have played without a bassist. But we're not booking any more shows until we have a drummer and bassist (full time or session) already lined up. With this fest, we were booked a year before the fest date thinking we'd have a full time drummer and bassist by then. But apparently not... :emot-fail

i`m actually suprised by how hard it`s being for you guys to find permanent members, specially a bassist.
how long has it been since you guys have been looking for one?

Forever. Mike quit lil over a year ago. We got two major things going against us. 1 everyone around here sucks and no one wants to relocate here 2. Evidently our music is pretty challenging. We have met a number of guitarists but no one is willing to play bass instead of guitar. Granted there is tons of stuff way more complex than us, we just cant get someone that can play the material and relocate.

Yeah, to add to what Jesse said, we've probably had about 20 bassists contact us, but once they see the tab we never hear from them again. We've also had around 10 drummers interested too, then once they actually sit down and try to learn the stuff, they hang it up as well.

We got some new artwork from Majweski and we are very pleased. We are racing to get the new shirts done in time for the fest.
