I finally got my hands on copies of Light of Day, Day of Darkness and Blessing in Disguise after hearing about them twice from the same person and I can't believe how damn awesome you guys are. It's so hard for me to discover new bands I really love and when I finally do its like I'm being born again almost.

Matt Dinniman is the guy who wrote the book The Shivered Sky. He mentions Green Carnation in there and then after I finished the book (which rules by the way) I read an interview with him where he mentioned Green Carnation along with two of my favorite bands Dream Theater and Pain of Salvation as being a huge inspiration and I had to check Green Carnation out and now I'm hooked. I'm still trying to get my hands on a copy of the first album and DVD but I'll get it soon.

So THANK YOU GREEN CARNATION for existing. I'm off to listen to LODDOD again for the fifth time in a row. I still can't believe it.

Sorry if this was cheesy or annoying.

Cheers

Thanx for your nice words, mister!

Just wondering.. what kind of book are you talking about? Fiction or documentary? Never heard of that one.. Canadian?

uhhh I think he's an American. The book is fiction its about some people who die and wake up in heaven. The thing is heaven just got its ass whomped by this badass army of demons. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1931095515 and http://www.mattdinniman.com has more info.

And no problem. I woke up this morning with Lullaby in Winter stuck in my head and I can't stop listening to Blessing today.

Whats gold?
A friend of mine walked into a shoe store in the city one day, and they were playing LODDOD on the speaker system there... What have become of us? hehe

I find alot of inspiration in learning about other people who enjoy our music and find comfort or inspiration in it. A journalist who write a good review or story, is paid to do so. The fans who share their stories are gold worth to us!

Well, I work in a post office in Oslo and sometimes play LOD DOD there....so you can find them in the most obscure places..heh.
But no, Green Carnation isn't played anywhere here. Other than the possible metal Radio stations around. (which aren't many)
But yea..."I know you're sad because it's winter..but I can promise you a spring"....really..those words have been burnt into my mind the last couple of months. Truly something special..I bought this album very late really..I was afraid it would never top the last album. But it did... in a different way. I can only say thanks..

Hehe

We have a rule in the band.. and that`s to tour only the countries that play Green Carnation in post-offices or shoe-stores.. hehe..

Maybe Bush could steal more votes in the US if that was one of his main cases in the forthcoming election.. just a thought..

We`re desperate to go to the US, so I hope the post-office and shoe-store charts will be kind to us soon!

Have a nice day!

We play your music all the time in our local youth-café... We run it with a gang of young 'motivated' lazy asses...

I introduced it when LODDOD saw the light of day, (because with Journey... I always had something like 'I want to keep this music to myself', and to be honest, with that cd I still do... So that cd they'll just have to discover themselves... :) ) and ever since, I can assure you, you can hear it every weekend... There are a lot of people in this little town who know your music... So not only shoestores do the trick... :D

Hell, we made a top 100 of the greatest songs ever that the customers could compile theirselves by filling in forms with their favourite top 7, and you guys are like 10 times in it!!!

Hahah!

You know you've done something either VERY right or VERY wrong when post offices around the world begin playing your music. :D
