Guitarist Alex Auburn of the Canadian death metallers CRYPTOPSY has sent the following update to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:
"CRYPTOPSY will soon announce the new acquisitions in the band for the positions of lead singer and keyboardist/samplist. We will release new pictures of the band by October and CRYPTOPSY will be in studio for the recording of their sixth album in November 2007. By early 2008, CRYPTOPSY will be ready to tour intensively throughout the world."
CRYPTOPSY parted ways with singer Lord Worm (a.k.a. Dan Greening) in April. No reason was given for Lord Worm's departure, but according to Auburn, the vocalist was "kicked out" of the band and didn't leave of his own accord (an account later disputed by Lord Worm)
CRYPTOPSY's last studio album, "Once Was Not", was released in 2005 via Century Media Records.

The new Cryptopsy vocalist is none other than Nathan Explosion (ex-Deathklok)!
On keyboard & sampling duties, Jean-Michel Jarre...:emot-LOL:

On some drum forum (I think it was Derek Roddy forum) there was post by drummer of 3 Mile Scream. He told that their album is being produced by Chris and even Flo let him using some of his gear. And what is more important he told that Chris show them some of new Cryptopsy riffs and they were "sickest shit ever" :)
Right now I can't find a link sorry..

Good god this site needs updating. I just tried to order a shirt today from them. I just received an e-mail back from Galy Records saying that they don't sell Cryptopsy merch anymore, and that this site needs updating. Their own words xD. I wanted that None So Vile shirt! And yeah, it's almost November and they still haven't done the October updates :( like you pointed out.

Anybody know if they are still on Century Media?

I guess they still are, I remember back then they signed a 7 album contract. So WS, ATYB, OWN and they had trouble with Century Media accepting the Live album as one of those 7.

I have to admit that Cryptopsy was always my ultimate EXTREME fix but after the last album I have been listening to Anaal Nathrakh. Their new album is awesome. They do everything and do it well. The vocals on the new album are insane…

I'll give them a try, I've never heard of them. I'm a huge fan of DM when they layer the growls with high almost black metal shrieks. The old Sylvain Houde era of kataklysm was great when Maurizio did the back vocals. I don't know many bands that do that anymore. Anyways off topic. It's a couple days away from the end of the month and still they haven't updated!

Which Kataklysm CD should I check out? Sorcery? Sorry off topic but the board is dead.
Any news Flo??

I hope that Jon Levasseur returns to the band... I don't like trois rivieres live because he is not there. Personally, I think that cryptopsy changed totally when Jon left the band

I'm going to guess that they don't announce anything, recording will get pushed back at least a year, and they will cycle through at least 2 more members before the album ever comes out.
*has lost patience*

Something probably happened. Whey else wouldnt they announce.... If they lost the new singer already they should just continue without vocals.

I would furiously masturbate.....more than usual......if they became an instrumental band.

Has Jon done anything since he left the band? I remember it being said that he wanted to pursue different types of music, but has he actually done it?
