been waiting for about 4 months now
and it is in...
and all i have to say about it is:
it blows my jackson king v (With APC pick-ups) the fuck out of the water.
no comparison.
and on that note. my jackson is going up on ebay.

Damn. I played a Xiphos once and hated it, does yours have a painted neck? And how much are you selling the King V for?
what are the dimarzio activators like?

i love the activators! they aren't nearly as hot as the APC's... but they are a lot clearer and get a lot less noise (which totally just might be a bad ground on the jackson)
it came with a hard-shell case that fits the xiphos perfectly. and yes... the neck is painted as well
ill probably put the jackson up on ebay for 350 with a buy it now of 500... the pick-ups alone cost me 200... so i may switch them out... but overall the jackson is still a solid guitar, and in near mint condition...

do your strings bend incredibly easy? In an uncomfortable way.

no, they dont...
where did your order yours? because i had mine ordered directly from ibanez, and paid an extra 10 percent to have it set up by the guys at ibanez.. (part of the reason why it took four months to ship)
if you got yours from somewhere like guitarcenter or another ibanez dealer they just send the guitar and it's guts and the place will set it up themselves... it's cheaper to order that way... but that also could be why yours does that...

I think the music loft by where I live has one. They are pretty ugly, imho. I like the Sz's, but if it plays well and is comfortable, fucking tight.

These guitars are amazing. And guitar center doesn't get any guitars as parts actually. When they recieve bulk shipments, its actually still the guitar. They pad down the cases and all that jazz, and wrap them in bubble wrap, then bam - there ya go.
And just out of curiosity...where did you purchase your guitar from, because unless you're an endorsed artist, ibanez will not do direct business with you. I've never heard of this setup process either. But thats badass man, I hope you enjoy the axe - I've loved all of the ones that I've played.

really? because the guy at guitar center in tacoma told me that they set up all the guitars themselves... which is why their guitars sometimes seemed to be a little over-priced...
and i bought it from a little mom and pop music store, called rosevears... they are an ibanez dealer, but their owner is also endorsed...
i am just stating what i was told by the owner and what he told me i paid for...

haha you got scammed
Holy_Reality

well, considering the amount of paperwork i got with it... i'd be happy to admit i got scammed, because that means a guy that i've known since i was 10 put A LOT of work into getting an extra 70 bucks out of me...
oh well =/
