i loved burned alive by time when it first came out, i listened to it recently and still enjoyed it (definitely not as much, though). i think it's pretty solid melodic metalcore, pretty catchy and not too toughguy or anything. they were lots of fun live back in the day as well.

guilty pleasure I guess you coudl say. they "suck" I guess... but they aren't about showcasing shredability, or being unique.

what about them sucks? they are solid musicians and pretty decent songwriters. admittedly, i haven't heard anything since burned alive by time and i don't even know if the lineup has changed since then.

I agree with Shawn. I like them, but I don't think they're very good at all. And they throw a simple ass breakdown into every song. I really like Sunday Bloody Sunday

It's a solid cd. Starts off pretty mediocre but picks up big time at track 5.
evergreen was one of the first shows i've ever gone to...when I was like 15. Was on a tour with them a one point and found out that they were all cool dudes. So could you pm this cd to me?

I used to love Evergreen Terrace when I was in a hardcore band. Haha, we basically idolized them, which is kind of funny, cause it says how rediculously unoriginal we were. But that was 7th grade.
But yeah, they're a mediocre, generic band. I mean, there are about a million bands that sound just like them, so there isnt much of a reason to listen to them. At first, I loved their Fight Club quotes, but then I realized that they made basically an entire album with fight club quotes, and almost all of their lyrics are derived from that movie. Jesus christ. I love that movie (and have been trying to get around to reading the book), but thats taking it way too far.
Anyway though, that just goes to prove that most hardcore doesn't have anything to say anymore.
Good band in 7th grade, and my second "extreme" music band. First being poison the well, and 3rd being throwdown. Hhah.
But yeah "failure of a friend" will probably always have a place in my heart.

Losing all hope is Freedom is still a good CD, but their last one was pretty much suck.

I completely agree with this.
Basically they are great entry-level band for the genre with staying power, much like Poison The Well.
After like a year of delving into aggresive/non-mainstream music, you should be moving beyond this, but still appreciating it.
