I was crossing my fingers and hoping it'd be a little more brutal, but it's very much in the exact same vein as AOTW. But, so far, I've heard some very sick shit... I haven't finished my first full proper listen yet, but time will tell.

I'm predicting my final ranking would lie somewhere in the 8.5/10 range.

i know what you mean. when atow came out i worshipped it for a month. i don't think the same will come of this album, but it's still heavy as fuck.

Yeah, and this Song "Payprus Containing..." (you know, the obligatory long-titled one) is fucking SICK.

but then they fuck it up with that gay intro of "laying fire upon apep". that harmony, while unique, just sounds so out of place.

yeah, i took that into consideration when listening, i was focusing purely on the songwriting, not on the production (which I know will be 20 times sicker when the V0 scene rip comes out, same with behemoth). i just meant that AOTW was a huge step up in like, the instrument sounds themselves and everything, i wasn't talking about the actual fidelity of the sound.

And yes, the sound on this is a little rough so I'm really looking forward to the next rip...None the less, some songs are catching me, once i'm more familiar with this cd I'll probably fall in love with it like AOTW.
