i think this cd is pretty fucking good. the drummer is delivering so much more. i remember when i saw them live, he was doing some crazy chill (but tech) beats, kinda like the stuff he does in Sleeping With The Fishes, See? at the end, as well at about 3:37 in cradle to the crater... and i always wondered why they never put them in their songs, because they're showey, and they sound sick.

I just started listening now and the songs seem pretty tight. Nothing incredible, but I like it more than anything they've done before. Step in the right direction, imo.

it stands out in a couple of songs, and just doesn't fit, imo.
it's like dan's baroque style, but the tone and just what he's playing overall sounds like shit.
the tone sucks dick already, but when what's he's played doesn't fit, either, you get the idea.
it gives Jay Walking Backwards a weird, weird feel, and i dislike it a lot, whereas Smoogs was great at texture and standing out. :emot-fail
