I really liked it up until the last song 'lotus'. Ruined the whole album for me. It's a shame they don't do as much of the tapping anymore. That was a key part of their sound for me. still, it's good to see they're going in a new direction. The songs have a different feel to any of the previous stuff.

I do. If something doesnt catch my attention right off the bat, it usaully never will. Like I said, I found the first track rather irratating & I did not enjoy it. Im a big stickler for liking the entire album, if even just one track turns me off.... the entire album is fucked for me. I've always been that way. Also, Im really good at liking one album from a band and not liking the rest of their catalog.

Agreed. I listened to HRF today. So good and I do miss the fingertaps myself. But Planet of Ice is real fucking solid. I'm glad they don't do the cookie cutter sound like so many bands.
