Roskopp..... argh.......!!
oh come on! we weren't that bad! haha
man that was a wicked show!
DPD fucking blew my balls off! The most brutal shit i've seen for a fucking long time! Totally unbelievable. These dudes are without a doubt the great hope for the future as far as 'pure' straight up goregrind goes! The 2 shifters were a great addition, sounded really good, and jack's blasts were off the hook!!! Plus that new midpaced song was a blinder!
Aeroflot sounded brilliant too, the best i've seen them for sure, sounded tight, powerful and the crisper and thicker guitar sound really helped fill out the sound and made the oddball kinda leads and stuff come through a lot better. And Jim's drumming has gotten better and better, he's got a mad 1 foot downblast!
TDEBN at pony is always awesome! They always sound massive and i think the small stage really suits them, makes it seem like more of a unified riffing machine!!
And I thought that was the best we've played for quite a while, i had a lot of fun.
It was a fucking awesome gig, a killer night and thnaks again to nik for rigging it all up! Hooray for melbourne!! Now i don't give shit about missing MDF, this would have been just as good.

^ My pleasure mate, it was a bloody awesome show! DPD were monstrous! Huge sound and the tightest they've ever played for sure... blasts were ultra-pummeling and the double shifter vox were absolutely devastating! Reminded me of Lymphatic Phlegm's "Bloodsplattered Pathological Dysfunctions" ... Like this massive beast rising from the swamp or something hahah Worked really well, and the single-octave vox sounded really good too.
Aeroflot - fuck yes! They just get better every time I see them. Jim's drumming rules! They have such a cool sound, I love it! Can't wait to hear the new recording.
Totally agree with you Christoph about TDEBN on a small stage, works really well for them... they also had a monster sound and were super-tight... although that drum solo definitely needs a bit of work! hahahahah
And of course Roskopp - really can't go wrong with you blokes, but to use one my most overused sentences it was "one of the best shows I've seen you play"... really big, harsh, LOUD sound, vocals came through well, and Christoph was in mighty, mighty good form. Was some seriously brutal shit.
Was an awesome night, everyone kicked arse, great vibe and a good turnout too. One of those nights where, unless I was making some kind of brutal grimace during the really heavy bits, I couldn't wipe the satisfied grin off my face.
And Poodle with the call of the night during TDEBN: "DROP YOUR PANTS AND GRIND!" hahahah
*yoink* song title ahoy!
