Floridian death metal overlords MALEVOLENT CREATION will celebrate the release of their latest CD, "Warkult", in their hometown of Ft. Lauderdale at the Culture Room on July 24. The record-release party will be the first time the band plays in the U.S. with returning drummer Dave Culross.

MALEVOLENT CREATION's ninth full-length album, "Warkult" is scheduled for release July 27 in North America on Nuclear Blast Records. Said to be the band's "most diverse and punishing record to date," "Warkult" was recorded at Liquid Ghost Recording Studio in Boca Raton, Florida by Phil Plaskon and mixed at Studio Wild in Quebec by producer Jean Francois Degenais. Mastering duties were handled by Bernard Belley in Montreal.

I stopped listening to them cause every album was the same damn thing. I don't know what it is about Dave Culross but I just can't stand his drumming. I used to think Divine Empire was just a MC clone but I think they surpassed MC with their last album. MC has too much speed, not enough variety. I recall whole songs that were nothing but blast beats.

Boring. Hope the next one is better.

Hey dude, Marduk's Panzer Division Marduk album is nothing but pure blast beats and it's one of their better works. Hard to listen to for a long period at first, but the patience is worth it.
