We're not actually recording yet, but there has been some interest from fans as to our progress, so I'm starting this thread now to let everyone know what's up.

As many may already know we acquired Erlend Caspersen earlier this year for bass duties on our upcoming CD. And we recently hooked up with Darren Cesca to handle the drum tracks.

So here's were we're at right now - Jesse is working on lyrics and vocal patterns for the last few of our more recently written songs. I am tabbing out the last few songs right now to give to Erlend to learn while at the same time recording some pre-production guitar tracks along with programming click tracks for Darren to write his drum parts to. Erlend has half the material down on bass and is learning the rest of the tunes. And Darren is currently writing his drumming parts.

Darren's already got drums written for one song, and so far it sounds amazing - very fast and brutal.

Later this week I'll also post a video of myself recording some pre-production guitar tracks.

Honestly I don't know. Is there a way to tell? I bought it back in like 1995 I think and paid around $1200 for it with hard case.

should be on the back of the headstock where the serial number for example
S470
S370 if not you could email ibanez with the serial number

Package deals for sure- just gave a couple more songs to Darren to work on and Erlend finally has all the material. Wish I had a solid answer on the release date but I am pushing that shit hard down the label's throat.

Yes and yes.

Darren has half the songs ready on drums, and Erlend has about 75% of the material so far. I'm still tweaking/arranging music on a few songs, and Jesse is doing on same on lyrics. That's where things are at right now.

Hey, just another short update on things. I've got one last song I'm finishing up on then all the music for this CD will be complete. In the mean time I'm working like a mad man to get pre-production stuff sent out to Erlend and Darren. Trying to keep up with these two professionals is impossible!

Finally an update on our progress with Anatomize. Drums have been recorded. Darren finished the entire album in just two days!

We still have guitars, bass, and vocals to record next. More updates will be posted as they become available.

good luck finding a drummer and a bass player in this town.every drummer around here are already in 8 different bands.hell, ive been asked to play bass in three other bands and im a guitar player.if i were you id post want ads in chicago or milwaukee.the talent in the cities is dried up.

Yeah, we gave up on looking for musicians in MN a while ago. And pretty much gave up looking all together. From our experience it hasn't been that people are in too many other bands, they just haven't the talent and desire. It's 10 times easier just to work with pro session players, which is what we're doing now.

Drums have been recorded. As soon as Darren gets back from touring with Arsis in mid-March, final editing will be done to the drums. Guitars will be recorded the first weekend in March, and vocals the weekend after that. And hopefully Erlend will have the bass tracks done by around this time as well. We hope to start mixing by the end of March.

Well that all depends. If we were to get a full time drummer and bassist, we'd continue on playing as many shows as possible like we've always done. But if we have to resort to working with session players, then at best I could see us only playing some fests and touring once a year at best.

paying session players for every gig to be done sounds expensive.
i'm actually really surprised to see you guys still haven't found a permanent drummer and bassist. i thought it wouldn't be a problem to find musicians in USA.

Thats exactly what we're thinking on the musician side. I have been talking with Mike from Malignancy about playing some fests with us on drums but unfortunately he can't really tour with us.

As Jesse mentioned, we just finished recording vocals this past weekend and mixing started today. The production is being handled at Flat Line Audio by Dave Otero (known for his work with Cephalic Carnage). We should have some new tunes up on our myspace page in a few weeks. The official release date will be September 12th. But look for pre-orders shipping out well before then.

Finally after 2 1/2 weeks of mixing, tonight I received a proposed mix/master from our engineer. Upon the first listen, there are a number of small things that need to be tweaked. So it's looking like the mixing process will continue into next week for sure. Samples wil be posted as soon as this thing is finalized.
