Woohoo! Good to see everyone's FIRED UP! Will be great to see Killaslutra and Aeroflot again, I think they will surprise some people... and Roskopp headlining - about farkin time I say!
And of course DJ Jack's Dragonforce/Malmsteen mix CD is in progress, brutal. Can't wait!

All did not go to plan. :emot-fail Listened to the recording this morning and you can pretty much only hear guitar and nothing else. We'll try again soon and hopefully have it for the next gig.

cheers Brendan...twas bloody great to see Aeroflot again...they've got such an old grimey raw autopsy-ish sound with really rigid drumming that works oh so well...Killaslutra impressed me as well...the style they play wouldn't usually interest me that much, but they pull it off pretty well with some nice "mosh" riffs and grooves and constant fills are always fun as well...

pity there wasn't a few more ppl there but i guess thats what happens when there's so many bloody gigs on the same night...

the show was fucking ace!! Killaslutra were amazing, they've got a really good thing going and they've already improved a lot since the last time i saw them so i reckon they'll be even better in july. riffing and vox sounded a lot like FID but with more mosh and grooves and the jazzy drumming was like IHR gone swing! loved them.
Aeroflot once again proved that you don't need to be generic to be old school, those buggers have some really killer ideas and such a raw ugly sound. I hope they can play a bit more regularly cos i wanna see more.
SFHS were blistering! Pretty much rip every band in Aust right now i reckon, even better than cleanoff! I love the blazing fast d-beats that go into a big rock out riff then back to an avalanche of blast! Not to mention the awesome sparkler-mohawk-helmet!!! haha.
I thought our set went surprisingly well too apart from my obvious gaffes and memory blanks! haha.
Plus DJ Jack on the decks was sweet, especially the benny hill music!

Roskopp were ripping as usual, set could've been longer though imo :P Also, you guys ever play exonerated maggots live? I love that song... awesomeness in a can!

Bloody oath, Aeroflot ruled! Grimey as fuck, can't wait to see them again! Roskopp also kicked arse as usual. As I've said before it doesn't matter if there are fuck-ups cause all the non-fuck-up bits are pure devastation! And repeating myself again: the new songs absolutely rule. Agree with Vomitizer though, woulda been nice if you'd played for longer, I was hanging for more! Killaslutra did a great job too, really unique style, great drumming. I was stoked to see they got a good response from the crowd too.
And thanks dudes for the nice words on the SFHS set! You're very kind hahah Despite my brutal cold and feeling like my chest and throat were about to cave in on stage, I thought it went pretty well. The Tote stage is fuckin hot too, bloody hell!
Oh and indeed DJ Jack did a great job... it's a nice change to hear some good tunes between bands! NVE and Benny Hill ruled!
Considering the other gigs that were on and whatnot I think the turnout was fairly decent. Thanks to anyone that came! Hopefully the Tote people agree and we can do it again soon. Already tryin to organise something else at another venue for some time soon... although it would be helpful if the bloody venue booker people that I've spoken to would actually call me back! hahahah "I'm sorry, what's your band's name???"

yeah, it was supposed to be 1 song longer but we dropped it cos its too fast and i was already in trouble with the rest of them, plus another half a song was missing cos i just forgot it. what a shambles. yeah we just taught zev exonerated maggots so im sure we'll play it at the next gig
