- 1 octave (ie 12 half steps) is usually a good setting to begin with...

i found out that in TDEBN we set it just under 1 octave down, around 7 steps or whole notes down.

I know this thread dates back a fair bit but has anyone ever used a Digitech VX400? It's the purple multi effects pedal for vocals.

yeah, I use the purple digitech vocal processor for Hymen Holocaust. That thing's grand if you ask me. It gives you the possibility to use more effects at the same time and that all in 1 pedal!!

With Skullhog (http://www.skullhog.com) we use a Digitech Vocal 300, it actually has way to many settings and multi effects so that is also what you pay for.

The Digitech VX400 is like the Vocal 300 but with the addition of programmable instrument effects as well as a drum machine.
