what a mad weekend...tis nights like these that make me love that i live in melbourne..

the Saturday Tote gig was amazing...

missed firewitch

731 - the good riffs sounded killer, the shit riffs sounded really geigh...the drumming wasn't spot on tho...

Embers - mad fun...crazy improv noisy Zorn stuff...after a lil' shmokko it was just what the doctor ordered..

TDEBN - best set i've seen in recent memory...nice sound and not going to overboard with the slow tempo's...

Dad They Broke Me - DEFINING MOMENT IN MY LIFE!!! Possibly one of the most amazing sets i have ever seen...now, i AM one to exaggerate excessively but this was mindblowing...so loud, so raw and ugly and disturbing, then uplifting then utterly crushing and devastating!!!
its a damn shame this band isn't more well known and up there with the Relapse super stars type bands, because this is heaviest shit around i say...

Grey Daturas - fuggin awesome...could have done with a little less drone wankery at the end, but fuck, such a huge wall of sound...nice

Ryokuchi - one word....CRUSHING!!!

last night's show at the East Brunswick Club was good too...only caught about 2 mins of Malakat, but both Firewitch and Ryokuchi were on fire as usual...Firewitch were really good, quite annoyed i haven't check em out earlier...
