Here's the website for the venue: www.opoeia.com.au

So if you're not in the mood for some crust/punk, you can do some yoga hahah

Ben (and everyone else), if you haven't got your ticket yet, make sure you get in touch with Missing Link and sort it out ASAP cause apparently they're very limited! (I got numbers 57 and 58)

hahah thanks mate... when I was talking to Yeap about it recently he said something like "maybe we can get you guys on it next year" so I guess we'll have to hold our breath until then...

Benny said he's keen to come too, now that he knows he won't have to camp, so that's nice.

Good weekend... got to Anglesea Friday night, just chilled out... after trying and failing to go the back way, getting bogged in the mud and going back and going the other way, we got there on Saturday and waited for the first band, Max AoA's new band Cut Sick, which was some rather sweet hardcore stuff, fast, aggressive, Max on drums, can't go wrong really heheheh I can't remember the exact sequence of the remaing events on Saturday night, but know I smoked a lot of hooch in the car with B-Rad and listened to the bands that we weren't too concerned about, or were too ripped to go and watch...Space Bong sounded like the pick of the bunch from what I remember, pretty wild stuff... watched Whitehorse, who were great, but had a bit too much of the electronics in the mix, which didn't make them sound as heavy as they can I reckon... watched Guantanamo Nu-Metal City Rollers... nope, still don't like them, they come across as an unfunny piss-take pseudo-grind band to me... I'm pretty sure I watched another band during this time but I can't remember... then me, Brad, my mate Drew from Anglesea and I think a couple of others, all had a snooze in the cars while others watched Los Diablos and some other stuff I think... regained consciousness and went and watched Pisschrist, which was unfortunately really disappointing... I was expecting it to be a craaaaazy set with people going nuts and all that but the PA fucked up and we were standing around waiting for them to start, and they finally did after about half an hour, sounded fuckin awesome, was killer... and then after about 3 songs James broke a bass string, waited for that to get fixed, they played one or two more songs, then the skin on the bass drum broke and that was the end of it! Massive shame cause the sound they had going was awesome and them finishing in a disappointing fashion seemed to completely kill the crowd... Kykloopien Superdooper went on afterwards, but it was late and wet and fuggin cold so they unfortunately played to a very small crowd, which was a shame because they were pretty farkin sweet I thought, the drummer especially was great. Navigated the treacherous road home after that and sat up at my place listening to tunes and shit until about 6:30am hahahah
Next day we (very gradually) made our way back out, waited for one or two un-exciting bands to finish, then Roskopp played, which was not just a little bit awesome, it was actually REALLY awesome. Yeah, you could say I'm biased and whatnot, but I reckon it was probably one of the best sounds I've ever heard them have. Really loud and heavy, heaps of bass in the mix which created a massive CHURN, snare was coming through really well, had heaps of punch and was really tight, and excellently, the pitch-shifters came through with full force! Sometimes they can be a bit quiet but they were really good yesterday, and Jake's natural vox were great too... he sounded a little bit croaky or something, but it only added to it I thought, great stuff. The Phobia cover with Yeap and Jake on vocals was also fuggin sweet indeed! Then watched Crux, Xavier's lady-friend's band... not really my thing, but they had a couple of good moments. That's about it I think... main highlights - Roskopp, Benny Hill Theme Song, Cut Sick, Kykloopien Superdooper, and of course, hangin' and havin many laughs with the gang! Thanks gang!

quite ze good weekend

Cutsick i really enjoyed....didn't realize it was Max drumming till halfway thru the set (thank you sleep deprivation and the chee hooaahh hooaahhh)...cool scholastic deth-y, fast paced stuff...

Whitehorse were cool...guitars could have been louder, electronics quieter, but meh, still a crushing set...

Roskopp were fantastic (SHUTUP CHRUSTOPH YOU MODEST BASTARD!!! ;p)...really diggin'the new songs...and man that Phobia cover sounded insane...

plenty more bands played, can't remember much bout em...some were cool, some were shit....as said, i was passed out in me car for the last 4 or 5 bands on sat night so i ain't got anything to say there...

cheers to all the lads that trekked down...twas great, smelly, fart ridden fun :)

Radical weekend! My report would be much the same as everyone elses!

Roskopp, 731, Whitehorse, Los Diablos, Space Bong, all good! Roskopp sounded brutal from the get go, Jake's vocals before you started were nuts, saw a lot of crusties looking around from the food line to see what was up, haha!

Other highlights were the white suit and mud guy!

Thanks to melbourne folk for lifts, accomodation, hand jobs and gerneral abuse!
