Where's all the good goregrind?

I don't think I've bought a new goregrind release in months! Where are the bands ripping off Autophagia and LDoH? Why do all the shitty myspace bands sound shitty-shitty instead of good-shitty like Intumescence and Plasma? Where the fuck is some goregrind that isn't jam-packed with groan-inducing metal and jun-jun riffs? I'm hankering for some nice raw, chaotic, chunderiffic gore like the bands I mentioned, but everything I come across sucks! Help me Jerry, help me!

Most new goregrind bands i hear just play shit brutal death metal for a minute and think they have goregrind.

Guess we'll just have to wait for the DPD release! And Garbage Guts if they do something this year.

Seems like everything good has taken a huge slide, gigs, goregrind, people buying records, just everything. All of a sudden too..
plus i'm having a hard time coming up with zine ideas considering the recent lack of interesting goregrind. I'm sick of hearing 15 year old myspace kids in their bedroom playing some half assed slam with samples and calling it goregrind.

Maybe its all been done? The only band I can really think of is GG..
those guys have so much potential, and it would be an ideal time at the moment considering the state of things to get something organised I reckon

sometimes it just goes in waves, the whole new wave emobreakdownblastbeatOMGITSGOREGRIND is going through the motions and it seems like its flooding the airwaves at the moment, i'm sure some quality bands will come along shortly, or the current ones will get off their asses and put out some stellar releases

So...I guess seeing as there's bugger-all around right now, what do we have to look forward to? ... Roskopp splits, DPD full-length, Skullhog splits, hopefully some new Autophagia, Plasma full-length, some new NVE stuff would be nice, new Hymen Holocaust stuff... and if I'm not mistaken I seem to remember reading that Gruesome Stuff Relish are releasing something new? Would also be nice to hear something new from Morbid Savouring... I reckon "Insensitivicious" was one of the sickest and nastiest releases of the last few years, but I never really see/hear anyone talking about it...

It would be good to find the Embryonic Cryptopathia full length they 'apparently' released anywhere, or the split they had lined up on goatgrind to come out.. I thought that band showed a heap of promise.

i think that there has been a huge reaction to the glut of truly terrible 1 man goregrind bands that have shitty riffs (mainly the more slam influenced ones), bad drum programming (mostly the terrible excuses for 'cybergrind' that popped up in SMES's wake) and really really stupid and/or offensive layrics/titles/artwork. i think these morons really did live down to the absolute lowest preconceptions that everyone outside the goregrind scene had of goregrind. All of a sudden there were just millions of ultra-misogynist, homophobic, racist or just plain peurile bands flooding the market. Nothing against 1 man bands, there are some great ones out there, and some porn stuff even has some kind of charm (like old Gut or CBT where it was more of a fetishitic/wallowing in seediness vibe rather than just stupid anti-women diatribes from mornic jock types whose date rape attemps were rebutted or nerds who are bitter that the chicks they meet on the net won't put out who've seen this 'cool' new music where it's okay to be nasty and offensive and are doing it more for the opportunity to act liek a creepy asshole than to make quality music) though for the most part i don't get into the more porn style stuff, and the homophobic/racist/aggressively misogynistic shit has always really rubbed me the wrong way even though it's always been pretty much unaviodable to at least some extent within this style, but a lot of it just got totally out of hand and i think a lot of people and bands who were making quality goregrind are now too embarrssed to be associated with it because of what the majority of the scene now looks like. I think bands that want to be taken seriously have either crossed over with other styles like straight up grind or old school death metal etc, or have abandoned gore completely.

i think things will improve again, but for goregrind i think it's gonna be a slow and gradual buildup cos there's a lot of drek that needs to be purged first before that bad taste left by the current crop of shit has been rinsed out of our mouths.

I know there are a lot of other people out there who are pissed off too and really want this shit to live up to its potential again so i reckon those who give a fuck need to make a concerted effort to really step up and try to lead by example!

^ I reckon that probably applies to about 80% of the goregrind bands on myspace. :emot-fail You just take one look at their trying-to-be-offensive band name (that usually contains over-used words like rape/fecal/anal/fetus/sperm/cum/whore/slut/tampon) and half-arsed photoshop logo and you know straight away...and I always get really annoyed with the ones that have stuff like "Sounds like: Your grandma getting raped with a spiked bat" - *GROAN* Not funny, not clever, not original, not gross, not sick, just 100% fucking LAME and so clearly juvenile. Arrrrrgh as soon as I see that shit I just close the window before I get too annoyed/depressed.

And while I'm ranting, I also get annoyed with dumb kids who put stuff like "we're bringing in all these other influences to make progressive grindcore" or some bollocks like that - GET FUCKED. If anything, grindcore should be REgressive, not progressive! Once you bring in too much of these other influences, it no longer sounds like grindcore, it's just shitty metal!

So, does anyone else think this whole phenomenon seems similar to what happened to black metal with all the kids jumping on the corpsepaint and satanism bandwagon? And now instead of making terrible bedroom BM and taking photos of themselves wearing corpsepaint and spikes, they're making terrible bedroom "goregrind" and taking photos of themselves wearing fake blood and "offensive" band shirts?
