View Full Version : Engorged With Humiliation Lyrics
Hideous Infirmity

Engorged With Humiliation
Frozen lifeless bodies, scattered on the street
Horrifying facial expressions petrified in the ice
People suffering from malnutrition
Reality of war leaves them nothing
Some would collect them to take them home
To hack up, cook and eat them
Hastily dragging the carrion so stiff and cold
To their houses, to prepare the morbid feast
In desperate attempts to bite off chunks from the body
Weakened teeth would break from icy solidity
Putting heat to the the carcass
To make flesh tender
Thawing body fluids
Revealing a stench sense numbing
Biting into half frozen meat
Trying to ignore the horrid taste
Hunger over revulsion
Will power tested
Wretched corpses lying in the snow
Over a period of 2 weeks
One by one they disappear
Unquestioned

Ha, that's exactly what I was thinking of when I was reading them. Nice job!

DAMN! This puts the song to another level for me, I didnt expected the lyrics to be that much intertwined in the whole structure. A fucking scary track!

Just for my curiosity, did you understand it while listening to the song? I mean for me itīs clear, cause I know the vocal lines, but I know itīs hard to figure out everything, cause of the "language deforming"

'Twas easy freezy 'cause Jens, unlike some other brutal vocalists (*cough* Jamie Bailey *cough*), tries to pronounce the words. I hate when lyrics are totally "Brodequinized"*.
*Brodequinize: To make vocals completely unintelligeble by keeping no rythm whatsoever, and making no stops while growling thus making the already unintelligible words blend into one long-ass gurgle. Example: "Brodequin - Slaves to the Pyre".

Cool lyrics!
I couldn't decipher much of it on my own, but the lyrics helped. The second verse remains completely immersed in gurgled obscurity for me though, can't hear anything, haha!

Huh?! Lyrics?!?! :P
I find that in some parts the voice is too muffled/quiet to be adequately audible, but on the whole, it's not too big a challenge to read along.
In my opinion, the line "Over a period of 2 weeks" is the most easy to understand, because of the phrasing, the comparably high volume of the voice and "more" articulation.
But I rarely read lyrics to begin with...

i understood practically every word, suprisingly! haha. i wish i could get a copy of all the lyrics written out like this, on darklyrics.com all the verses are bunched together into one big gaggle.

In the booklet it's horrible to read along, because the lyrics are printed in a big gaggle as you said, plus every word starts with a capital letter. But the lyrics are fucking amazing. Great choice of topics, really well written and brutal as fuck! Props for that (and for writing the most brutal album ever!)
