BTW, MCD=mini CD. It's an EP, but Brutalbands calls it a MCD. Don't ask why.

BTW, MCD=mini CD. It's an EP, but Brutalbands calls it a MCD. Don't ask why.

BB calls it a MCD (Mini Compact Disc) because it's a CD that runs less than 30 minutes in length, and contains less than 8 tracks. MCD is a standard industry acronym.

The term EP (Extended Play) is a phonograph record of 45 r.p.m. that plays a longer time than the standard 45 r.p.m. record. The acronym EP is still often used in place of MCD, as EPs typically had around the same number of songs on them as today's MCDs do.

Right, EPs came from the days of singles and were named so because of the extra songs. I just never heard of a MCD until BB referred to our CD this way.
