And all the riffs of those bands are cheap ass slow chunky riffs that a demented cow could even write

All those band just wanna be as technical as possible but good music isnt about technicality. Its fine to have some technicality but those bands over do it. Thats why I think they are nerdy cheesy bands

Amigos- Dude you are entitled to your opinion, and thats cool but fact of the matter is, that some of the bands you mentioned are good freinds of mine, and I know of their skills as musicians and they are so dedicated to the music they play. I have respect for anybody who works hard at what they do, and especially those who make music for their own personal enjoyment. But hey thats just my opinion, I'm thinking if you dont like those bands, you must not be a fan of us, which is cool, not everyone loves what we do.

this is a very silly thread. why would pyaemia be the worst? i don't even listen to all that much brutal death metal but their music is actually pretty catchy for the style, i don't have such a hard time telling them apart from other bands, maybe the problem's on your end. ;)

but i was watching star trek today so i probably just like nerdy bands :p

Amigos, don't even fucking say that these bands are not talented. You have no fucking clue, dude. The only band that I really don't care about in that list is Cattle Decapitation and Severe Torture. Gorgasm is one of the most fucking brutal bands I have ever heard (along with Decrepit :D ) and I don't see how you can say that they don't have any talent. To play that ridiculously fast is not easy, amigos.

Also, they don't all sound the same. If you actually pay the fuck attention, you'll notice a difference. Cock and Ball Torture has unique vocals and they sound really fucked up and awesome. Their style of playing is more groovy and catchy and Inveracity is just heavy and brutal as hell. They are pretty different. If you think that they're so untalented, let me see you do better. Do you have a band? If so, I would like to listen to it because I HIGHLY doubt you can do any better. If you can, then why the fuck aren't you signed to a label and well known?

Bottom line: you have no clue regarding what the fuck you are talking about and you don't have any understanding of what is being played by these bands.

I dont think those bands are untalented. I mean I dont like most of em but Disgorge is pretty cool. I mean I am more into blasphemous death metal. I just dont really like how in a lot of brutal death metal there are so many changes and how the vocalists dont say there words clear enough but thats just me. I do think the names Cock and Ball Torcher and Gorgasm are silly though.

Yeah I would have to disagree that these bands all suck. Personally I don't listen to Cattle Decapitation or Cock and Ball Torture but most of those other bands are great. Disavowed is an awesome band, and I believe some of their members are in Pyaemia, which is why they sound sort of similar. Disgorge is one of my favorites, very technical in my opinion (lots of time changes).

Inveracity is good but some people may label them as an early Suffocation clone but I think they are good. I haven't heard Gorgasm lately but I thought much of their stuff sounded the same.

I like to always question people who say "this band sucks that band sucks" with this question: What exactly are YOU contributing to the genre of Death Metal? I mean if you are some amazing guitarist that is expanding the genre into new areas and creating something totally original and good then by all means criticize, but if you're just a guy who wants to complain about bands out doing their thing while you're sitting at home doing nothing, my advise is to shut up.

My point is, don't come here putting down bands that you think "suck" because they're not your cup of tea. The majority of us here are musicians and most believe in (especially me) to not 'hate' a band for that certain reason. If they work hard, they're not 'cheesy'. Are you signed to a decent death metal label?

Travis, their singer, is down to earth and cool. Granted, you can say one can't listen to them all the time, but they are NOT untalented....

Now the rest I can agree with. Disgorge just need to write slightly better songs and seek their vocal replacements a bit more wisely. Gorgasm on the other hand just crushes in every way.

Most of the bands on there I obviously know in person, and not only the bands on Unique Leader actually. Just like Matt told, let me tell you that they all work hard and accomplish quite a lot with such an extreme genre of music. Even if you completely hate the genre, because Amigos that is exactly what you do, you should be able to find just a tiny bit of respect somewhere deep inside you for the hard work the bands put into their music, the endless rehearsing hours they put into their band, the amount of money they invest into their band and the big efforts they put in touring under doubtful circumstances.
