I was just wondering if any of you have tried buying CD's directly from Unique Leader. I'm thinking on placing an order, but before I do I'm interested in hearing your experience with purchases from them!

Yeah they were real good. Took 2 weeks to come to New Zealand, which is standard time for ordering cd's from the US. Got free shipping and buy 3 cd's and get a 4th cd free, so they are the cheapest place by far for buying cd's i have ever seen. If they had a bigger selection like relapse or century media or something they would be my sole choice for purchasing cd's online

Heard a lot of bad stories. It took them a month or so after getting my order before it was sent. Wouldn't stop me from using them again but you can always find the cds they have in more reliable distros.

i've heard dodgy stuff about UL, people having to wait 3, 4 months for their orders.. bad customer support, getting the wrong sized shirts sent to them.. after waiting for them for months.. etc,
Don't bother man.
Order from Brutal Bands or Unmatched Brutality.
Easily the best two US mailorder places you can order from. Both have very good records and i've never heard a complaint about BB.
Unique Leader are shit in that guaranteed if you're in Europe the chances are you always end up having to wait at least 2 months - if not longer - before anything turns up.
Shit's cheaper in Unmatched Brutality's distro fo shizzle, but probably cheaper in Brutal Bands' too.
Fuck man, have a gander at Grindethic (http://www.grindethic.co.uk)'s distro too in case there's something there.

Shit 4 days is amazing. Yeah it took 2 weeks which is the same time as it has taken for ordering cd's from anywhere else which includes relapse, century media, metaldisc, amazon, and earache in England. But sounds like other's experiences have not been so good.
In terms of shipping costs being added at UL, well their cd's are US$12 each, which includes shipping. That is a similar price or even a little bit cheaper than the places i have used before, and those places charge shipping on top of that making them more expensive.

I placed an order from unique leader about three weeks ago and nothing yet. Same day I place an order from Adipocere out of France and recieved in a week and a half. THE END RECORDS has worked well with me in the past.

yeah.. i really like UL, and their bands. but their mail order sucks.
ive ordered from them a few times, each occasion took 1-2 months, and i live about 2 hours drive from where they are located.
the one thing i do like about their mail order is the buy 3 get a fourth cd free..
so i only buy in bulk when i do my orders from them.
The End Records and Willowtip both have very good mailorders.

I ordered a Pyaemia hoodie a few years ago now, from UL. I think it took roughly 7-8 months to arrive. Pathetic. Forever Underground or whatever the fuck they were/are called holds the record for me. WELL over a year for something to arrive, despise numerous emails. Then it all of a sudden arrived. I think that was back when Beheaded were on that label. It was a hoodie.
BB seemed good from memory, but that was a few years ago too since my last order, a Stabwound shirt I think.

Only place I have had problems with is Neurotic which is probably the mail. Relapse have also been very good especially with back orders.

I did. I've heard very good thinks about Brutal Bands. I might try them next time. The got some great bands on that label too like Abysmal Torment, Emeth and Necrotorture.

a little stupefying how little attention they seem to have gotten, but then again i'm not privy to the finer details so who knows if they've been approached yet.
Kunt Killer is sounding like it could be a little more diverse for Gorgasm - even though Masticate To Dominate will forever pwn me - so maybe that'll entice someone into action.

I have Pyrexia since the jan 30th i dont fucking see Pyrexia on goregiasticrecords.

put it in the context when people from the SAME country as Unique Leader have often had to wait more than a month to receive their orders, and people in Europe have usually had to wait at least DOUBLE that and maybe you'll see why yours is obviously bucking the norm.

Many labels live off their early reputation for many years, despite overwhelming bad comments from bands leaving it. Take Earache for example.
So nuts. But bands will sign regardless, as in their eyes, a bad deal is better than none. Period.
plus if you put it into the context of the likes of say Vomit Remnants going from a pretty out of the way Japanese label - Macabre Mementos - to a pretty well known, certainly in the circles of their kind of music, label based in America - you can see why a band would go there.
As shit as their mailorder is and questions a bout how they treat their bands, they're still a step up for some of the bands they sign in terms of being able to get them greater exposure, that goes for not only bands moving labels but also the likes of Inherit Disease previously unsigned I think.
