View Full Version : The new artwork...
I know it's probably just me, but does it remind anyone else of that view you get in one of the Aliens films of... how to describe it...
what they call the 'pilot' in his chair of the original ship the Aliens eggs crash in... big long cannon shaped thing in the centre of a desolate Giger-esque room...

I guess that's a compliment!!!
Thanx!!!
lol indeed.
It wasn't a negative thing, plus i think if I'm getting my Giger symbolism right it's all a bit of a phallic image too...
though whether or not the cock thing relates to Par's meaning or Disavowed's is another matter lol

HAhahaha
Btw, the cover is better then the old one: The old one sometimes freaked me out, those fucking eyes staring at you.
hah... that was one of the best Zig covers i've seen personally...

Definitely Zig's best cover I think... one of the few genuinely good ones he's done.

So none of you think the old one was a bit, uhm, weird/scary?

I love it. It was disturbing and penetrating, the way a death metal cover should be, and not just some regurgitated splattermess.

The CC covers are nice.
i think they summed up what i like about it...
it had the gore element in the barbwire & blood, but kept it more "realistic" if that's even possible and actually was more psychologically impacting rather than visually OTT splatter...

The "Space Jockey" Surt, one of the coolest creations of H.R.
ah, safe.
You know after all these years of loving Giger's work, i've still not got around to buying one of the books...

shame on you, most of them are really cheap over here. I've got about 5 books on his art...like most metalfans probably since he's loved in the scene alot.
yeah... i have to be honest and say i've neglected that side of my interests in favour of the aural angle too much really...
I'd love to have a proper Seagrave print - let alone an actual painting of his - but there's no way in hell I'd ever be able to afford one of those (especially considering his prints alone are like £300... posters are cheaper :D)

I am not allowed to do that unfortunately at this moment... It will probably be put online as a screensaver or online poster after the release! Thanx for the interest, bro!!!!
