We have just posted a new video up of Max playing various riffs from the last track off of our MiniCD, "Revelations".

Two questions:

1) How did you get signed to BB?
2) How did you get featured on Sick Drummer's drum programming page?

That Max guy is really good at guitar. How long has he been playing?

1)I posted a link in BB's Who Should We Sign Next thread. Scott listened and liked what he heard.
2)Ian at sickdrummer.com sent me a message applauding my drum programming and decided to create a new section of his website dedicated specifically to drum programming.

Max has been playing since he was very little. I think 8 or 9 or so, and his dad is a jazz saxophonist, so it runs in his family.

Hope that clears some things up. Thanks,

Tim

that video is sick. i love the beginning. how do you get that specific "computer" sounding tone on those single note riffs. and, why do you have your right hand on the neck like that? tis a very interesting style/sound.

You kinda answered your own question. Max is muting the frets with his right hand so can play with his left without hitting any open notes. It's kind of like "single hand tapping" if that makes any sense.
